However Nomura says, “Roen, the designer behind the costumes of the characters, has completed the design of the main character and his partners. And the coolness will be like nothing before. Nozue says they are also very difficult to recreate in game, Nomura says this is due to the materials these costumes used and they also accidentally made a pair of shoes that don’t match each other.

So I'm really wondering what the hell their clothes are made out of for it to be hard to render in game :aldo:
And what does this mean, is everyone getting new clothing designs, and are these clothing designs they are talking about the clothes that they will be wearing a majority of the game?
I also find it funny how they have only been talking about clothes for the past 8 months or so XD

I don't think anybody out there puts more emphasis on clothing designs than Nomura's team.

And I guess I don't get why it took so long to complete the designs.

yeah you'd think they would have named the 3 guys by now, I mean they were revealed a year and 3 months ago...At least I think it was in January or February last year...
Or they could reveal some more plot so we have a better idea about wtf is going on. Nah they will probably just release screens of roen shoes that they will wear in the game. :aldo:

According to the article Roen is designing the outfits not them, so um...what are we in for, because many of their suits looks terribly terribly gay. I can't imagine them creating anything awesome, for fighting or traveling clothes.

According to the article Roen is designing the outfits not them, so um...what are we in for, because many of their suits looks terribly terribly gay. I can't imagine them creating anything awesome, for fighting or traveling clothes.

And what is their definition of "coolness will be nothing like before" just like the Nora member was "too cool to be announced" Hopefully all the clothes won't be as asymmetrical as Noctis's suit.

Well, did you see the material that Stella's dress was made out of? That might be an example of something that's hard to render, with the subtle patterning in the skirt's fabric.

Nomura's said in the past that the designs for all of the characters were only temporary, so these are probably the final designs for the clothes that the characters wear through most of the game.

As far as I can tell, the only designs that he made (at least for Noct, his gang, and Stella) were the temporary ones. All of the final designs are supposed to have been made by the designer from Roen.

They've never really said how much influence Nomura has over what Roen gives him, but I don't think it can be all that much because Stella's dress was originally designed in black and Nomura said that one of the pairs of shoes didn't match. XD

But what bugs me, how can they possibly make a pair of shoes that doesn't match? Just make one shoe, use the copy special function, set the width scale of the shoe to -1 and POOF! You have a mirror copy of the first shoe!

So as you can see, my dear Nomura, the copy special is there FOR A REASON!!!
