I liked his song for Ishtara in Samurai Legend Musashi. And I've listened over and over to the music on teh official JPN site of XIII. But I know I'm not alone when I was hoping Nobuo would return for a full album one last time. But I just can't find any MP3s of it without sound effects from the 2006 trailer.
The music is sweet. I like it. But after hear it and the boss battle theme, they remind of of BOSS from FF12. I liked that one too, but are the days of rock tracks mixed with classical music gone? Is everything gonna sound like broadway style music?
I'm not complaining but I would expect a few rock tracks in 13. It's got hi-tech stuff everywhere and plenty of fast and acrobatic characters. Why not add a little rush and thrill to the music.
So my question to every is:
1) Can anyone download the battle theme off the official site so I can get it?
2) Do you miss rock music like Motoi Sakuraba does with Tales and Star Ocean games?
3) Would rock fit into FF13?
4) Should Lightining or Snow or both have some rock themes?
5) What song comes to mind for a rock theme?
Yes, the video game industry has gotten bigger and much more mature and maybe rock is out for epic stories. But maybe not. There was plenty of rock in Crisis Core and the same composer is doing FFagito13. So couldn't there be a least 2 or 5 rock tracks in FF13?
