Woo! I only got 5 stars for only 2 times , the average rank I get is usually 3 stars. Although I really enjoy playing Snow rather than Lightning. But the hardest one that I got only 1 star is the final monster (the giant monster with the horn , don't know its name TT) it attacked me 700 , 700 and 700 , wtf -*- Overall is good , but I had japanese version (Zone 2) so i just played , but don't know what they are speaking. But overall is good. I just fucking O O O and triangle. Lightning uses fire and Snow uses ice. Although this fact I prefer is Lightning's set of attack. I wanna get all 5 stars in all points , but im not professional like that ToT.

I'm receiving it tomorrow, if everything is going fine...
It will take some time before I get used to the Japanese controls: (O Confirm // X Cancel)
I've got a few questions:

- Are there some secrets, bonuses hidden in the demo, like going back to the previous area, defeating a specific amount of enemies or playing it more than one time to triger an extra cutscene,... or is it just a normal demo with some battles, running, cutscenes and ending?

- I've seen that in the beginning you could chose four different types of camera controls, which is the default or best control? Type A?

- Has the game a background in the XMB menu or is it just a logo?

- Some people are saying that they're waiting for XIII since the e3 announcement, and after playing the demo it felt like a normal game ... Did you like the demo or loved it??

- Do you like Lightning's hair in the ingame cut-scenes?? (For me it looked too pink and thick, but that's maybe because of the bad video quality)

- When you don't move your character, do they make funny gestures after some time??

you guys have to know its A DEMO not the full version so SE have lots to work on befor we see how the full game will look like using 100% of the ps3 power.
But other than that the demo was fun and it great.

Except there is a difference. FFXIII could use 100% of the PS3's power, but that doesnt mean it will be the best looking game on PS3. With time they will inevitably find easier, less performance demanding ways of achieving the same thing and in turn will find ways of doing things better without being any more demanding to the hardware. So the statement technically isnt False.

On topic-

I played the demo only once. It felt really good to me because it felt alot more like Final Fantasy than the last game. The impression it gave me was positive.

I agree with Xion. Power doesn't necessarily mean graphics. I'll bet the final version of XIII won't surpass Killzone 2 in terms of graphics... yes I know there are glitches and the fire isn't too great, but in general it's the best looking game so far...

The Behemoth was launching you into the air and doing 700 damage because Snow was Broken. You can Break opponents by stringing together attacks and they can do the same to you. If it happens in the battle against the Behemoth, all you can really do is stock at least two Cure commands and use it every time it hits you for 700 damage. Eventually Snow will leave Break and the damage will go back to normal.

Remember that stringing magic together with your attacks will Break enemies faster, and if you see them flashing you should hit them quickly because they're about to Break. Launching enemies and hitting them while there Broken will do more damage, that's the key to getting five stars.

There is no best control scheme, its all unique to the player. There are four options because there are two axis which can be inverted.

FFXII for example had both axis inverted, while MOST games have both axis normal. Just choose the way you're used to playing, KH2 had the exact same option.

I wanted to control the other people fighting with me, aside from that it was worth the wait.

tokyo game show

You're foolin' yourself if you're saying the Tokyo Game Show. Why? Well, look at past years, was there even a year that TGS leaked Nova Crystallis' trailers to the net? No, it was only done via trailer impressions only.

I haven't played the demo but I've seen streams of it and stuff, I think there doing something similar with the magic like they did in VI (Terra had fire and Celes ice in the begining and eventually everyone could learn magic) the combat system seems to be mostly flash and will become routine after a few hours of gameplay, also I don't see the point in the star system, and I really wish we knew something about the growth system because that's probably going to make or break it for me that and the AI controls (after XII we better get a usable way to control all the characters), and the free heals after battle I really can't say I'm a fan of

I recommend :

For Lightning = use fire fire fire , because the damage in this set is high

For Snow = just punch punch punch , the damage in this set is high

I played again , the average rank I got is 4 stars , but for the last monster ... Behemoth...... 1 star again T_T

I've had pretty positive reactions to the demo so far. Some of the textures are a little sloppy in places but that's not a big complaint. The combat is engaging and if they can keep it that way for the entire game, I'll be more than happy. I like being ranked too, gives a drive to learn how to play better rather than just resorting to dirty tactics as in older games in the franchise.

I've played the demo a few times and I'm starting to get 5 stars on most fights. I'm pretty confused by the 2 move lists though. They both seem to contain launch, a magic attack, a melee attack and a 3 point magic attack. What's the difference between the 2 lists?

I think the launches are more likely to connect if the combo metre in the right is high or if the enemy is weak. I try timing them so when my teammate(s) shoot, I start the combo. This seems to work better and means your attacks cannot be interrupted.

To 5 star fights I use the launch, magic, melee attack on each enemy individually, if they don't die I just leave them. Once each enemy has had one of those combos, it becomes "1 hit" and when they're all 1 hit, I use the 3 point magic attack so they all die at once.

I agree with this. It seemed like a huge negative to me to set it up so that you can only control one character... like mandatory FF12 gambits which turned it into a single character 'action' game hampered by timers. ~__~; But if the Toriyama interview is any indication, this is just something in the demo, and won't be part of the real game, right?

At the same time, with the game's pace, I'm not sure I could control three characters fast enough, getting recovery spells and chain attacks arranged properly..

Otherwise, it was very, very linear, but I liked the 'battlefield' feeling they gave it with the planes shooting down at the path, etc.

The break/combo system was rather difficult without being able to control your ally characters, but it was fun and satisfying when I could get a Break.

I wish I could have gotten into the game menus to mess around, but I don't think there's a way to. XD;

You can control all 3 in the final version.

And of course a demo is gonna be linear. I trust the full game to be completely nonlinear, it is Final Fantasy after all.

Woww , you got 5 stars in most fights , that's good , I got 5 stars several fights. But how can I get 5 stars on the last monster (Behemoth) ... I always got 1 star in this part , poor me TT. Ahhh~~ I enjoy use big fire that attacks per 3 enemies. But for ice for 3 enemies , I quite didn't want to use it. Again , for Lightning , the action in the first part which is hit hit and shoot set, is the highest damage. I just usually chose all 3 of this part (hit-hit-shoot) and also fire fire fire set. Snow , melee (just punching) is the highest damage. Not lauching-up attacks for both Lightning and Snow , because the damage for this is not high. First time I played I always mixed and often use fire fire fire. But for third time , I liked to use hit hit shoot (all first choices in first action). And hey! how to get 5 stars in Behemoth part , I punch punch punch it , not use ice, and the rank I get in this part is always 1 star T_T...... the last one is hard.
