I don't know about you guys, but I'm liking it so far. It's been a little more fast paced than the other one. All of the stuff they covered so far in 3 episodes had taken like 10 or 12 episodes the last time around. Also, I think there's more of an emphasis on the comedic aspect of the series. They'll be in a serious scene and all of the sudden they'll start making fun of his height and everyone starts making the most ridiculous faces.

I don't know if it's more fast paced because that's how the manga was or if they're just trying to get stuff out of the way as most people have already seen what happens. Either way I'm glad they're doing it like this. Anyone have any thoughts?

I hope there will be a dub, the last FMA dub was great.

I watched an episode with english dubs and the voice acting was some of the worst I'd ever heard... I'd really recommend the japanese va with subs...

Really, the English FMA dub did an amazing job IMO.

It's generally regarded as one of the top dubs like Cowboy Bebop.

Well it's all opinionated, but when I watched it I felt too embarrassed for the people that allowed it to be released. Maybe it's because I'm so used to the japanese dialog that listening to the english version just didn't sound like the voices fit the characters...

I'll agree to disagree.

It will as the original anime diverged from the manga into something totally different. This second version of the anime is supposed to be a faithful adaption of the manga...

There's an ad right above where I was typing and apparently this new series is called FMA: Brotherhood

I guess I gotta stick with it now. I had dropped the series because I though it was too similar to the last. The first two eps were pretty nice but the third seemed like an exact copy of the first part of FMA (which i didn't like the first time around, let alone as a rehash). As soon as this show diverges from the first anime I'll be back into it with bells on. Until then, I'm annoyed that it even exists.

Can't see why, the animation and drawing quality is amazing. Take the first episode, it was like watching an anime movie quality drilled into twenty minutes. Sure did leave me speechless. I don't mind watching a few rehashed episodes until the plot starts to move strictly into manga territory, especially if they're up to the standards I've seen so far.

But each to their own I suppose.

I'm quite frustrated with this, I usually watch anime in Japanese with subs (like most) but there are a couple where I actually prefered the dubs (If I can I always try both to see which I prefer), FMA was one of the very small number I watched in English, now I never expected them to do more... so now after watching the entire thing in English I'm having to wait for them to dub this new series or it'd just be weird >_<

Curse me for watching it in English.

You guys are liking it though yeah?

The original anime version stops following the plot of the manga after a few episodes.

This remake will follow the manga storyline, which is way different and much better.

I like the original anime more than the brotherhood version cuz it has a great sense of drama with it. abt voice acting I recommend u to watch it in Japanese with English sub, I have watched both versions but Japanese VA are really nice in FMA and if u dont know both japanese and english VA for Edward had been praised and got some awards I think for their nice and neat VA
