Party Members Question

So, with the already announced party members; Snow, Sazh (or Suds), Team NORA (Lebreau, Gadot & Maqui). Did Square pretty much announce the cast that'll be joining Lightning?

No I'm pretty sure those are just "Extras" for the beginning. Kind of like Jesse and Biggs and Wedge.

Team NORA are unlikely to be part of the actual party, but yeah, just having Snow, Sazh, Lightning and Vanille (4 people) doesnt seem like enough, so maybe ther'll be a couple more. But then X-2 got away with only 3...

I can't see team nora surviving that bridge collapse to be honest, except maybe maqui, seems like they put a bit more into him then the other 2 and he has some what of a backstory so I could see him becoming a proper cast member.

I'd say you can count on there being more than 4.

with X-2 they got away with having more jobs for the player to use(same with 3 & 5) seeing how they had like an hour long demo and staff said that their bring more significance to everyone in the story, i'd think they'll pull a ff6 except it might not be as much people (probably 8-10 i hope)

Hehe, id like to think 6-8 party members at least, but who knows at this point im dying for any ff game related info and my demo which still hasnt gotten here yet. (Patience is a virtue, That i wish i have!)

In all likelihood, only 3 characters will be able to fight at once. If so, it would be insanely stupid to have only 4 characters.

Oh, does anyone think that the characters will have their own individual classes, that you can choose a class, or that it's completely open, like in recent FF games.

Personally, I hope that it'll be like FFX (but presented differently) where each character starts out with a fairly linear skill tree, but the farther the character progresses the easier it is for him/her to gain the abilities of other characters.

What if Sazh/Suds/Shaz/Black Afro Chocobo Head Man dies in the middle of the game, and for the final battle where you fight female Sephiroth-looking chick, your final team consists of Lightning, Snow, and Vanille?

Seriously though, I don't recall Square-Enix having been so secretive about a game in this series like they are for XIII.

We know next to nothing about the plot and they took forever before giving us any tangible details about the battle system. I'm sure that there are many other party characters that haven't been revealed yet. And to be honest, I'm quite glad they're keeping many secrets.

We'll appreciate the game even more if we don't know every bits and details before actually playing it.

FF games usually have 6-10 playable characters so there will probably be 8 since XII had 6 which seemed to really limit the story, or maybe that's just cuz they came in pairs and didn't go into any backgrounds in the least, but yea I'm guessing 8 characters
