So does the term "best band" exclude any requirements of musical talent? I'm extremely biased since I play the guitar, but part of my criteria in thinking about what my favorite band is, I have a litmus test in which I see if I'm able to learn a band's whole discography on guitar in less than a day, they aren't the best band to me... Now if there weren't any guitars or guitar is just used to supplement the music then I wouldn't use my litmus test on it. But if the guitar is part of the driving force of the music I definitely will... As for muse I think the driving force of the band would have to be the guy's voice and his half step melodies... I'm in a ranting mood today...
