This is why I hate religion. :wtf: This woman killed her son to send him to heaven and send herself to hell to give the world 1000 years of peace. I have no idea what could have given her that idea but she was clearly a fucking whack job.

At least she did the right thing and put the gun in her own mouth. Funny that she lived until she got to hosptial, I hope she was in pain.

I may be a bisexual C&E Catholic, but if there's one thing I can't stand it's when atheist claim shit wouldn't happen if Christianity were not involved. First of all that woman was already having mental issues and tried to kill herself at said shooting gallery several years ago. She was suicidal: you are not at the right state of mind religion involved or not. And before you even start to claim the martyr card, you are not a martyr if you commit suicide. According to Christianity, suicide is a one way ticket straight down to hell. So if that failure of a parent truly was sane and religious, she would have not killed herself. But she was looney and religious and that just so happens to be a bad combination.

Fuck, being insane PERIOD is a bad combination with anything, even atheism.

Can you imagine what she would have claimed if she were athetist?

Technically yes, depending what the voices told her or who the voices were to her. I've had patients claim that they are on a secret mission from the CIA to kill a person, or that the FBI planted a chip inside their heads. I've even heard of insane people killing another person because they swore that other person was out to get them. There was a case of a man with obsessive compulsive disorder that continued to do this ritual as if he killed someone, namely his wife and daughter. He never murdered anyone, but to him it was so real that he even turned himself in to the police. Not everything has to be God, but in her case it was.

Read about this and it stated that she had mental problems and had been in to mental institute on several occasions. Would she have shot him knowing nothing about religion? Maybe, maybe not. She would probably not have done it.
The big question for me is: Why would you allow a mentally unstable person to wield a weapon?
