The Last Remnant not coming to PS3?

SAN FRANCISCO -- So we were in the Last Remnant panel at GDC, where Square Enix's Hiroshi Takai and Epic's Mike Capps, among others, had just finished discussing the often difficult process of using Unreal Engine 3 to create a Japanese role-playing game.

I decide to ask a question.

"The Last Remnant," I said, "was originally announced to be Square Enix's first multi-platform game. But the PlayStation 3 version hasn't come out yet. Is it still happening?"

Silence.

No one wants to speak. Finally, someone ventures: "Well, the PC version came out this week."

Me: "Yes, it did."

More silence. Everyone's kind of glancing around.

Takai: "Well, as for the PS3 version, I can't say anything about that."

Me: "Alright, then."

It's not like I would buy the game again, but I am surprised at how reluctant they are to answer the question. It could just be that they are not allowed to reveal anything on the PS3 version because Microsoft managed to get it as a timed exclusive.

Maybe it's because of the recent great hit of TLR on PC.

Maybe SE thinks it's enough and so it's acessible for almost everyone.

Maybe they only could correct the flaws in the X360 version because it's on the pc.

Maybe they are afraid that PS3 version will come out the same way as X360 version

it's not the game itself, it's the principle. if i wanted i'd get it for pc anyway cause my pc can handle it, the problem is that whenever they change their minds sony gets the worst of it. starting from when they changed their minds about ffxiii being ps3 exclusive.

Somehow I think you have never even played the game. The game is actually pretty good. It does have it's tech issues but it doesn't make it a bad game. Unless you have an Arcade 360 and can't install it then maybe it's bad for you. But who the fuck would buy a shitty arcade anyways?

The story is pretty good, and I can't wait for the damn sequel. The game has one of the best characters ever created in it "Wagram." And the battle system was different and fun. Also it is about the only RPG this generation that actually takes even the SLIGHTEST bit of skill to play.

I am to the same spot where I was before where I had lost all my data, all my quests are almost done, and I'm going to beat the upgraded version of the final bosses ass!

Now if SE doesn't make the game, then that would be a stupid move and would make their reputation of being a good JRPG company go even further down the toilet. If you are a PS3 owner who does not whine and cry about EVERY LITTLE ISSUE IN A FUCKING GAME!!!! Then you will like this game alot.

yeah its heaps good. apparently they fixed a lot of the tech issues in the pc version but i was heaps hanging out for the ps3 version. bloody squeenix

Back on no-new-on-PS3-TLR: nothing SE does surprises me anymore. I'm bizarred out.

maybe because every game they release on the ps 3 they expect less. Because of one game in the PS 3 causes a lot of money

The game is good enough to be also made for PS3, but i think if they're going to release it for ps3 then they better make it better on the gfx department because its very medeocre on the gfx for a next-gen ...

I dont know if i've seen games on UE made for ps3
