Dragonball Evolution Movie!

Can't believe that they're actually making a live action movie out of Dragonball. Just recently saw the preview of the movie during commercial. So what's everyone's opinion on this movie. Actually looks decently awesome in my opinion. Which also reminds me of that Dragonball game that's coming soon in Japan for PSP but with real people instead. I've heard that it seems like that game's going to suck and also looks a little bad. So what's everyone's opinions on these?

Rated PG.....Goku is a high school kid who wants to fit in....nuff said. Its going to tear the original concepts of the show to shreds and make it utterly retarded and cheesy in the process. Hell master Roshi won't even be a pervert.
Their are enough cheesy lines in the 30 second TV preview to make you cringe.
This already has a 3/10 for me, and I am not looking forward to seeing this (most likely gonna wait to rent it for a dollar at a red box rental machine thingy at Harris Teeter)

Or tried to. I didn't get past the party that chi chi invited goku to (the first 20 minutes, mind you). The whole thing was too fucking nickelodeon and I couldn't take it anymore.


If you want some dragonball, i recommend playing the DS game. It's SEX.

i never had cable when i was a kid but anywhere that had cartoon network i would watch that show because it was flippin sweet :awesome:

Well, if people are going to watch this movie expecting it to be faithful to the anime, then it's going to be plain faggery.
Better watch it for what it's trying to be (fail anyway, mbbz? :aldo:) rather than what it's certainly NOT going to.

I agree with this. That trailer scared me. I will probably see it eventually, but OMG some of those people don't look anything like the characters. It's almost as bad as IGNs "The Legend of Zelda" Trailer.

Being keen on Dragonball, IMO it's nearly impossible to make a feature-length movie using the canon material, because it would involve more character/story development. And seeing as the Part I Dragonball (from 'The Search for Kame-Sennin' to the '24th Tenkaichi Budoukai') is the most intensive when it comes to that matters, :aldo:

The bad thing is that people may get a bad idea of the manga/anime because of this crappy movie.

Apparently the game and the movie is crap. With the game having like no characters involved. I wouldn't watch the movie though, since gokus hair is crap. The list goes on.....and on............

I saw a bootleg version of the film and it could be (in my opinion), the worst cheesy (as in the genre of cheesy) movie I have ever seen. The effects seemed alright, though the quality of the bootleg wasn't that great so I can't really give an opinion on that. What brought it down was the dialog and the action. The action was a real let down. They did the opposite from the show as in they slowed things down instead of speed things up...
