Im pumped for the final fantasy demo but I start a summer course in Japanese Language and Culture in the summer obviously and my parents kinda led me on thinking theyd let me buy a ps3 and they're probably not gonna let me bring it to 5 weeks of summer school FML.

I tried doing some translating of the first page but gave up halfway through. Basically it goes blah blah blah 'TRUTH OF THE BATTLE SYSTEM REVEALED!!!' blah blah, 'battle begins with a simple encounter' blah 'enemies shown on the map' blah 'can input multiple commands', 'a time gauge'. "Battles appear to be in FF's usual ATB format. However, the time gauge is a new element". "With consecutive hits, a chain bonus". Summat bout launching, which I can also see in the command boxes.

So, basically, as far as my crappy translating effort goes: Enemies are shown on the map we can now see. The battle system seems to be a modified ATB system; you input consecutive commands while a time gauge empties/each command costs time? Then when everything's right you can launch at your enemies with more hits = more damage. Nothing new, really. You'll have to wait for Blank to get all of the stuff I've missed.

I'm still bored though so I'll open Paint and put some English over the command box. Single words I can handle.

Yeah. I really hope that we'll get to see a preview about how the menu system works (interface style, sphere grid^_^,...). But otherwise it will be a full surprise.
I'm already dreaming about what will show on the screen when I put the demo in my PS3. I'm really looking forward to it.:'( For me and other people who are following XIII from the start it's special because if I look at my obsessed notes from the past 3 years, We've still seen not much "real" things from XIII like enviroment, real cutscene's, music, menu's,... and now we're going to see it in one day. :) (Sometimes I really think I'm too obsessed ... <is this normal??>)

Um...no. That'd be Atlus USA & Nintendo + Square Enix themselves at the moment. They seem to pick up games on the fly. Namco, they're mostly all about fighters and such. Like with their future hit; Tekken 6: BLR

Plus NBGI is pretty much slow on getting Tales over here. They have yet to make voice versions of TOD, TOD2. Then localize Rebirth, Innocence, Tempest, Hearts (need I say more)? Due to some similar issues like with Banpresto's SR Taisen series.
