Which kind of monsters would you prefer to see in XIII? We've seen a lot of mechanic monsters and SE said it would be a futuristic game, yet I dunno, I see mechanic monsters as being way too predictable.

I don't care as long as I can kill it with some flashy moves!

I do prefer the biotic ones ... More fun, more weird ...
Biotic, they are more interesting than mechanical robots.

Doesn't matter to me, unless you can KO them with your flashy limit break-esque attacks.

Biotic seems more interesting than Mechanic.

It wont all be mechanical, most likely there will be loads of crazy things in some other locations.

Well, you'd be facing enemies that would adhere to the present dungeon (stated by Square Enix). You wouldn't be facing mutated monsters in a guarded HQ type facility. But rather like robots and human fighters at the most.
So, unfortunately it won't be "Biotic" and "Mechanic" enemies.

i like biotic better because of the variance theyve had in the past with them

Even though it'd be nice to face just these enemies. The majority of FFXIII. Like FFs that have gone before it won't just be biotic or mechanic enemies.
You'll be facing huge monsters in the mix as well.

I like biotic a bit better, but mechanical enemies are fine. I think I'd be worrying about how hard the enemies might be than the designs of them.

Cocoon will host mechanical enemies and Pulse will have biotic enemies. That's what I think.

it makes sense but i read somewhere i think and it said that
there will be an "unsettled" portion of cocoon which is like a bridge or barrier of some sorts between the two worlds (yes i know cocoon is floating) but idk i read this somewhere...
but anyways thats were the bio enemies would be in cocoon and soldiers and mechs everywhere else.

Hey, I care if it's the cookie monster.
Btw, biotic monsters is the way to go.

Wait if most of the monsters are robots that would mean they're all weak against the same kind of element.....it could be an advantage in battle.

But we don't want the game to be too easy, do we?

Mechanic monsters in Cocon. Biotic monsters in Pulse. Thatīs it.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was a healthy discussion about how Lightning is some sort of advanced combat cyborg or top secret military experiment or ridiculously lifelike sex android.
That would have made for better subject matter than talk of the beasties in the game.

I find there isn't enough variety with mechanical monsters so I vote for Biotic.

that it's gonna be about 50/50 (give or take 10). but i really don't care.

The idea of Lightning the secret military experiment pleases me. I hope that the creepy lady with the Sephiroth hair in one of the trailers was the mad scientist.
I mean, Lucrecia is the closest thing to a lady mad scientist we've gotten. We need a lady Hojo, only cooler and less crazy.

We need something original for a change.

There's only so much you can change for FF enemies though. Ghosts and zombies have been done, but they'd be kinda cheesy now, aliens would be ridiculous, and silent hill like creepy monsters, although awesome in they're own right, wouldn't fit.
But I think the enemy designs seem to keep up with the other designs in the game anyways. They aren't the most creative enemies, but I've seen far worse
(Hellhouse from FFVII anyone?).

Yeah, I think they are getting stale in the "original enemy monsters" department. I mean really.....
PICK SOMETHING INTERESTING FOR A CHANGE! I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE SAME MONSTERS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
It starts to get boring when you fight the same monster over and over...and over again. Am I right?

No, you are wrong.
Everytime I play a new FF, I'm always eager to fight a Bomb, a Behemoth, an Iron Giant, Dragons, etc... to see how they've been redesigned.
Been doing that since the first game and it never got old.
