Ok so far the trailer for the final fantasy 13's have been awsome but out of the trailers which one do you think is going to be the best XIII, Versus XIII, or Agito XIII?

Hmmmmm..... So far I have to say FFXIII. Just simply because, the game have been revealed more. But I have to admit, I didn't like the new trailer all that much. It seemed so bland and nebulous. But otherwsie, it looks good, I wont be buying it at first day. I'm going to wait for reviews of it.

Versus on the other hand, is just dark, with dramatic music. So its too early to say.

Since FFXIII is coming out first they want to rebuild the hype so more people will buy it. Versus and Agito will get their chance to shine when its their time to release gets closer.

But I think FFXIII will be best because it is the main game of the compilation and it looks like it has more life to it than FFvXIII and because I'm not as into handheld games though I'm sure all three will be excellent in their own special way.

At the moment, I have a PSP and a PS2. So I look forward to hearing more about Agito.
Versus has a something special. I think it'll be promising. From speculating, I'd say it's going to be the best. Why? It takes even longer to develop so maybe the work put in is more.
FFXIII looks good so far but something about it makes me relate it to FFXII and to me, storyline is important. If I wanna know of what will happen next, I'm more engaged in the game. I was not engaged in FFXII. It was only doing chores. FFXII and FFVII was great partly due to their engaging storyline.
From my speculation, story of Versus is going to be more engaging than XIII and therefore, Versus is best, Agito second and XIII third. But XIII is probably good enough to get me buy a PS3.

Well said. AgitoXIII will be the smaller game that feeds well but not to the fullest. FFXIII is obviously the main entree since its the main game within the series and of course many people will look forward to Versus as the dessert for best for last since Versus has a popular bias right now.

I will play all three of them and hopefully enjoy them thoroughly but I look forward to FFXIII the most because it is the main in the series. Maybe in the future there will be a palette cleanser, side dish, tea time, and midnight snack.:D

I'd most definantly say that the FFversusXIII trailer definantly looks more "appetizing."
i say this because from what i have seen and heard - the character Noctis is slightly different from all other FF characters. His fighting style seems well developed and unique. Also, the fact that this fantasy is based on reaity is a novelty and it appears as if square enix is going to make it work. While on the other hand Lighting and her blade gun are nothing new.^_^

For me I prefere Final Fantasy XIII becuase it's Turn/Command based, the reason why I like Final Fantasy and other jrpg's.

Don't get me wrong, I like action rpg's but not as much as turn/command based rpg's.

I think Versus will feel less like a Final Fantasy title but that does not mean it's not gonna be an awesome game however I hope future FF tiles don't take the same direction as KH game.
It's sad to see that their are less turn/command based rpg's these days and I hope it doesn't die out (I'll be gameing alot less if it does).

As for the theme and setting of each game I prefere XIII becuase it has a Final fantasy "feel" and familiarity to it although I gladly welcome changes to the series but not drastic changes that completely changes why I got into the series.

I think people who are new to the FF games will like versus because it is more action oriantated wich is more 'easier' to get into than turn based. Alot of people are put of by FF becuase of the combat system so versus will bring in newer audiances to the franchise which I think is a good thing as well as a bad thing.

We don't know much about the story of Versus, but from the outline I think it's a more interesting concept than XIII's at the least. "A prince who is set to inherit his kingdom's throne after the thawing of a Cold War between his nation and another over the crystal that his nation holds, and the rapid modernization that his kingdom has experienced due to the crystal's power" sounds a lot more interesting than XIII's premise of discriminating against races. Since Versus is supposedly based on reality and will deal with issues that we are facing today (rapid modernization of 1st world countries at the cost of developing nations, global warming, etc.) we can expect it to be more political and, imo, interesting than XIII. The characters of Noctis and Stella already sound more complex and realistic than Snow and Lightning.

In terms of setting and exploration, Versus will have both modern and ancient esque cities to give it a more realistic feel, which is interesting. XIII's two locations, the forest and futuristic city, are alright, but pretty generic imo. Versus will also have an open world with a world map and cities with day/night sequences. FFXIII apparently is very linear and has virtually no cities or roaming, which sucks for me.

As for battle systems, I'll probably end up liking Versus more than XIII since it will have real-time action battles rather turn-based, which I don't like as much. Nomura said that it would be similar to KH's system but still different, and will involve menus more. That sounds like an interesting system, and I'm kind of expecting something similar to KH: BbS' Command Decks to come out of it. Nomura also said you would be able to control other characters besides Noctis in-battle, which you can't do in XIII.

I'm also certain that the graphics and music for Versus will come out looking and sounding better than XIII, at least to my eyes and ears. With Shimomura Yoko doing the composing for the game's soundtrack, I'm confident it will come out sounding like something out of an award winning broadway symphony.

A lot of the team working on this game also worked on the breathtaking Advent Children's CG movie, so they have a lot of experience with CGI rendering and we can expect movie quality CGI, much like XIII. What I believe will set the graphics of Versus above XIII is the fact that the team is devoting time to only one console, and therefore can take full advantage of that console's power rather than compromising to accommodate two different architectures. Nomura said that one of the reasons Versus is taking so long to develop is because he wanted the developers to take as much time as they needed to study the PS3's architecture and take full advantage of it's power, since this would be the vision of his "dream game". Nomura also said recently that the in-game graphics have gotten an upgrade since the trailer that was released with ACC and is almost on par with CGI. That's incredible if it's true.

So yeah, just really looking forward to Versus lol.

No i did not play it yet. I have not seen the gameplay footage from TGS and Jump Festa either, I only saw the screenshots from the Cloud Magazine scan and there was a small screenshot on the that magazine scan with Noctis with his sword drawn and from what I saw it looked very similar to the gameplay of Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia. The only game that was close to perfecting the FF VII Advent Children battle style in a game was Dissidia. Unfortunately i do not own the game nor do I have a PSP but I played it on my cousin's PSP when he got it at launch. Take a good look at the magazine scan and see if it does not look like a KH/Dissidia style game:

even with the scan of v13 (which i've seen already) to back him up, kh (1+2) battles are a poor attempt at mimicking ffac. dissidia on the other is something i can't argue against because i haven't played the game either. from what i've seen, ya it's flashy as hell. allot more than kh, but is it another attempt and adding quick time events to make the game feel like ffac? or does the combat system REALLY make you feel like you're a badass with skills?

if v13 can invent something new.. a new combat system that allows you to pull off combos, jumps, etc like in ffac, then i'll agree with charlie up top. none of that preset/quick time shit.

Not to mention it will bring back classic FF elements like an overworld and an actual airship you can fly in. Not to mention actual towns. The character designs also look the best out of the three games.

Agito is interesting because it's coming out on the PSP and will apparently really push it to it's limits and provide plenty of content. The battle system also seems interesting and reintroduces the draw/junctioning system. The political aspect of the game is also interesting.
