Resistance: Fall of Man

As the PS3 Europe launch approaches, it brings with it some great FPS-es. Along with Call of Duty 3 and others, Resistance: Fall of Man looks by far the best. For those of you in the lucky countries to have both the PS3 and Resistance, i would like to know what this game is like.

I only saw a bit about the game in tv..and it looks really nice in all aspects..i think it has different mods of playing..you can play with other ppl or friends likeAA i think..but the graphics are great!!but better someone with the game explain :P

I live in the Netherlands so I don't have a ps3 yet :(
But I have played this game at a convention and its awesome. At first I had a few half-life flashbacks but after some more playing I found twas different. Really cool game and I'm definitely getting it at the launch. But like Ringlets I'd like to hear some more from people who actually own the game. C'mon folks, share you experiences! ^_^

Okay it goes like this. Resistance is a gem and great game. Anyone you ask will tell you about the vast amount of weapons and the cool things they can do. Another notable topic is the story which is pretty interesting(not half-life good but still good) and filled with twists and turns. My third thing to bring up is the game is creepy, kind of like Half-Life creepy(ok maybe not that much) but it is freaky enough to have you constantly spinning around to stay from getting pounced on.

I'm blind(or that is what people tell me) so my only faults with the game is: the uneven level lengths, the far as hell checkpoints, the gimped health regen system, and the difficulty. I haven't had any problems with the controls and even though I hated that the game action pauses when you select a weapon it makes sense in a way because you carry all the weapons in the game at once instead of just two.

This is probably the only game ill buy at launch after hearing the bad things about Days of the Blade. ;( Mebbes worth a rent. Oh, and that motocross game looks good also D:

well, I was at a PS3 testing in november 28. I tried motorstorm and RFoM, and RFoM R-O-C-K-E-D!!! I didn't try much beyond the start, but we played to where we had that bus-station, at least. the graphics was pretty nice, and when you played a litte, and played the ratchet&clank series, you knew this was insomniac games. just the weaponry would make you see it, and when hovering drones pops out of the ground and starts shooting lasers at you, it gets confirmed. an when playing on what's like a 50" screen at like 5 feet distance, you'll yelp when enemies jumps onto you and starts draing your health. and it the guy's looks better than in GoW, where their look like paper-thin, hollow plastic. yet, they are not the best on the PS3, and now we can only wait until april, where insomniac games will release info on ratchet&clank PS3!

Yeah I saw the commercials for Resistance: F.O.M. looks awesome. The only thing I fear is the controls. Most of the FPS games I've played for PS2 were hard to aim with because of the feel of the joystick. I'm sure it's just me though. I don't know... It feels--to me--that the joystick on the PS2 controller is too long to aim with. If you've played X-Box and X-Box 360 then I'm sure you can feel the difference in the joysticks. I can aim way better with an X-Box controller than I can with a PS2. (I own in Halo while my friend kills me in Call of Duty for the PS2)

*gasp* 360?!! Shun the non-believer! Lol. Nah i'm ok with Xbox. Yea the commercials for Lost Planet look cool. And i know what you mean about the aiming for PS2. Very hard for sniping.

Question- Anyone who's played it- whats the weapon that shoots bubbles? And whats the point. Im not saying that its not damn funny. I just dont see how it can kill Russian Mutants without just making them laugh.

Resistance is a good game!(athough i dont have much to choose from the 3 games i have, but its the best out of all of them) I never liked these types of shooting war types of games, but what the hell. After i played for a while it got pretty awesome.:D

I will admit i pretty much suck at the game(I alway end up in the bottom 5 when im in online multiplayer) but i think im getting better :P

Im broke from upgrading Bill (my PC). It will take me like 4 years to earn enough for a Ps3. But i could still totally kick ur ass, sucka.
