I feel they should extend FF X

With FF 7 getting spinoffs after spinoffs, and with me being a sucker to buy and plan on getting the prequels. Why doesn't Square Enix just make a prequel to FF X and finish explaining the backstory to it. Because we can talk about that it and blog about that would be too much for a FF X game, when FF X is just as equal to FF 7 as far as gameplay and story. Think about it, would FF 7 get all this ( it's the favorite) if it didn't make like 4 spinoffs. Now while its my 2nd favorite FF game next to FF X, I feel that they should stimulate Square Enix and annoy us with the remaining pieces of X

~ YEEEEES. i most certainly agree with you there. sure. ffvii was the most popular and all, but ffx was a classic. it had a lot of firsts, you know? the first final fantasy on the ps2, the first to have voice acting, the first to have full 3D environments and real-time facial expressions, the first to have FREAKIN' GORGIOUS MOVIE CUTSCENES, the list goes on. i think they should go the advent children route, if you catch my drift. you know, make a full cgi movie or something, but this time, make the plot take place in the distant future, kinda like this story i'm writting for it. mine takes place about 700 years after the end of the first ffx.

lol ff10-2 wasn't that far in the future and wasn't great , but i would've traded the movie or any prequel / sequel spinnoff (although crissis core was fun) for the tech demo of ff7(might as well have said full ff7 remake before ff13) to have come out before 13 as a full remake this way i could at least have that while i wait for 13 (compilation) , and when im like 36 ff14 : )

bye the way 4 and 6 are my favs and in my opinion are the best i cringe anymore when i hear people say 7 is there fav , it makes me think they haven't played many ff's when i hear that .

I don't like the idea of making more than one prequel/sequel to a story.
There's usually nothing more but vacuous things to say in them and usually downplays the original.
But then it's always nice to see your favorite characters moving around again so FF Dissidia was in that aspect a plus. 8D

Yeah. If you think a lil while, you can see that some sequels and prequels are just money making, yet other ones end up being fun.

CC and X-2 were fun even if X-2 had a shitty storyline. Yet if someone asked me where I'd put my money, I'd bet on some good remakes.

A good idea would be to make a prequel where you have totally new characters in a time-line where Zanarkand isnt destroyed and Sin doesnt exist (yet) ... a story about how Sin first came to exist or something like that. nothing similar to the whole pilgrimage shit, it was a litle bit too linear-ish.

FF X was like the Lord of the Rings Trilolgy but without the sequel. It wasn't meant to be made for X-2 but like the Hobbit, it should cover the bases from the first time they defeated Sin or go back and cover some more detail about Tidus younger days a 1000 years back. Hey if they can make a prequel to Star Wars and know whats going to happen then altleast they could take a chance and redeam thereselves on restoring this great story.( Its like.."here you go FF X, we'll give you all the first and make you the crown jewel on a groundbreaking RPG" and then just turn around and sabbaote it)

I liked though I never have actually finished it yet. I also happened to thoroughly enjoy FFXII, which most people waited FOREVER for only to gripe at how "bad" it was. Please don't misunderstand. I'm not saying there weren't things that could've been done better, I'm just saying that for how long we had to wait for it, and for what it was, it was actually really good, in my opinion.

i do replay classics all the time myself have every system anyways from atari to ps3 and 360 but remakes i like if nothing major was changed like ff4 for ds was a great remake , and also ff10-2 wasnt horrible the battle system really remined me of ff5 but yea the girly out storyline was a big minus but i liked how the battle transitions were in 10-2 and how it was almost like chrono trigger with battle happening in the environment but still shifting to a turn based battle formation . also i like every main ff game including 8 ive played all the spinoffs and they were ok only 1 i didnt play wass before crissis for cell and ff4-2 which was cell phone only i think

^ The battle system was a huge part of what made FFX-2 great. If only the FFX system was as fun! If only . . .

Maybe a few years down the road, when the BIOS copyright expires, the encryption/flash is cracked and we're emulating the PS3 on our cell phones, we'll get to download home-brewed game remakes/mods (tailored to our personal tastes) from the 'antique gaming market' and find out! :D

I was meaning that After the Rings movies there wasn't a sequel and glad that there isn't going to be one after a great movie. While FF X was not a 3 game sequel, it is an epic in its own right and didn't need a sequel but more rather a prequel if they was going to go that route, more like the Hobbit. Sorry for the confusion

They were going to make 2 sequels to Ff X like you said. Final Fantasy X: Yuna and Final Fantasy X: Rikku was their working title. They then canned the idea and we ended up with Final Fantasy X-2. I read this a long time ago in an interview with one of the developers.

I think Jetch Auron and Braska's adventure would amke a good story, it woud have been better then X-2, I mean X-2 was fun but it just wasnt a game to be taken seriously, just the play the mini and have fun and laugh at rikku and paine
