Repuro looked more Asian in the trailer than in those scans. And Gado looks better too. His features seem more chiseled and they both look a bit more normal and much closer to Snow, Lightning, and the others' model quality. This must be a more complete version or something.

Then there's them now. Even the lighting looks different. Then again, this may all just be angles and lack of HQ screens. Looking at her now, see looks very Latino/Hispanic to me.

As for the characters, I like all their designs really. They all look good in their own way. Gado has a kind of a wild yet casual look to him I like (I love those kicks). And his crazy hair is just that, crazy. It suits him to me now. Reburo... Lovely is all I can say. I just love the design. Whether that be because I like the outfit design, her, or am just a pervert, I like it. As for Marky, he seems cool enough. Pink suits him. He reminds me of Gippal, which is NOT a bad thing. Then there is everyone revealed already whom I also like but don't feel like explaining why.

I wanted to join this site so I could share a jpop song I wrote for Lightning of FFXIII (will do that later) The song will arranged for piano. I still have to play and record it using EAST WEST's PLAY Bos290 piano lib. *but I am busy with projects right now*

Here's my take on these new characters pretty sure I am right.
The three new characters are not full party members they probably show up during the game but there not actually part of your main party. There playable when they show up but don't think there new characters that you will level up etc. They won't be on SE's main page as party members. There will only be at max 6 main characters. There is four now there might be two more, not seven!
V-jump is on crack!

As for character designs, game developers always make important characters as flashy as possible so they stick out compared to all the other NPC's in the game^_- That includes baddies too.

No, even 'Holy' VII had their characters FIT their world, even VIII, IX, X, hell way back to VI, V, IV, III, II and I (by the sketchy and crazily effeminate master designer Amano) fit their world.

FFXIII designs for the most part fit their world, from what we saw of Lightning, Snow, Sazh and Vanille (who's obviously more 'tribal' centered) fits. The R3 don't fit at all, not in the slightest, they appear as if they wandered from previous games or different series and just decided to stay.

Nomura is the character designer, he does get word from others to make changes and what not but it's mostly him. The designs from X were in joint work with celebrated character designer Shunya Yamashita and vXIII is getting help from an actual fashion designer for the costuming.

FFXIII is meant to be flashier, no one is disputing that fact, the problem most have is that these 3 character designs really...really suck.

How many random non-prison-clothes citizens have we seen to compare our main characters to? Seems like zero.

We know almost nothing about the places the characters came from, including Vanille and the rest who 'reflect their world.' We don't know what that world is, bar some science fiction overtones to Cocoon and some wilderness overtones to Pulse.

But you're absolutely right we don't know how they work at all or even if they are main characters, it appears that they are and so if I gotta be looking at these bastards for 60 hours. Then I'm going to complain. At the moment, they look far too all over the place to fit in with the group for long periods of time, so chances are that they are secondary characters. I would hope at least.

However, much like my brother told me last night and he's on your side. We haven't seen much of their world to judge at the moment, he feels that they don't particularly care about what's going on in that world so he doesn't care either.

As for X, Lulu's a black mage, she's tragic and goth but not in the traditional sense sorta fashion model-y sense, even still with her 'out-of-place' looks. You can still look at her fitting in with the rest of the crew without trouble; seeing that everyone in X had some crazily designed attire.

XIII doesn't have crazy designs (outside of the R3) so far, they seem to be made cosplay easy...

Gah...I don't know, all I know is that I don't particularly like the R3 at the moment....hopefully their looks give way to their personalties. Maybe they might be awesome and cool!

Not likely. No same weapon in ff has been given to two people. They are probably temp. weapons they get while escaping the prison.

Reburo hasn't got the same gun as either two. She has what looks like either a Rifle or an Automatic Machine gun.

It's only Gadou & Marquis who have the same damn weapons, and I'm pretty sure Marquis gave his too a hostage on the bridge. So he most likely has his own unique weapon.

This is why I don't bother anymore. It's better to just bang it out in MS Paint and move on.

I didn't finish the second one, i only posted them in the Chatbox anyway, i didn't really think they where front page worthy considering Blank had translated them.

I can see why, as far as scanlations go, defiantly not worth the effort in erasing so much, it'll take forever to get clean images out of that. It's better with magazine images to just overlap and make sure the writing is visible over the original.
