Lightning, Sazh and the amnesia

Several magazine stated that Lightning is affected by amnesia and doesnt rememnber her past, and possibly her own name.
But in one of the latest Famitsu scans we find that Sazh has known her since she was part of the Holy Government (perhaps he was part of it too?), and so i thought he could have helped her to find her past and told her her name.
Or maybe she has suffered amnesia before join the PSICOM?

"The amnesia could be auto-inducted type or a parcial type ... Lightning was forcing herself to forget her past because she couldn't act in a decisive moment of her life...

Then she left the army and occasionaly meet the "resistance" group ... And she fights to redeem
herself ...

Or she could be faking her amnesia to fight the Holy Government, as a traumatic event in the past makes she to left the army and to be trusted by the resistance she first appears as fighter without past ...

And Sahz could be a friend who stick with her to help her to convince the resistance about her story ... 'cause he believes in her mission and helps she to accomplish...

Also I think she has real amnesia and she could only remember from when she worked with the soldiers. And nothing from before that. And near the ending there is going to by a conversation about someone very important from the past. And then they're going to find out that that person was actually Lightning. Anyway with that amnesia I think SE is able to create a great story

I think SE is original enough (like always) to give Lightning real amnesia.

Assuming that Lightning does, in fact, have "amnesia":
I'm thinking that she had her memory taken away from her. I know it sounds a bit like "Men In Black", but it could be true. It would be convenient if Lightning knew everything about PSICOM, such as the leaders, the tactical affairs, the weopons, etc. But, where would be the adventure!? My wild theory is that those who are exiled to Pulse have their memories erased! Whoa, what? A piece of supporting evidence is Vanille's surprise when summoning Carbuncle. Yeah, Lightning and Vanille are exiled. But, why? Because, they were given a "mission" by the Fal'cie to destroy Cocoon! OH, NO! The not-so-Holy Government doesn't want that, so they take away their memories and send them off to Pulse, not even remembering their "focus". That's where Sazh saves the day. He flies to Pulse on a golden chocobo and tells Lightning everything about her past, and more importantly, her mission.

Of course, all of this is my own little speculation and should be taken lightly.

I hope there's no amnesia, hopefully its just poorly translated engrish. I've personally had enough with characters who have no memory. VII did it well, but from then on it just seemed like an easy way to develop the characters. It's being overdone, in many games.

But then the soldiers try to capture him and wipe the memory of his golden chocobo and it turns into a baby chocobo. And then of of your missions is to turn it back into the giant golden chocobo.:D

I'll be pissed if that doesn't happen.
