Introduction
I'm playing piano for some time now (6 years) and I've always played songs which I found in music books. But also I've learned a lot of Final Fantasy pieces and I love the Piano Collections (they were very hard). Because I've mastered all the good FF pieces, I've temporarily stopped learning new songs and focussed on techniques. Until this evening...
And my Question:
Could Someone advise me good (RPG) VIDEO GAME sheet music?
- Nothing from Final Fantasy.
- Emotional, calm and good sheet music: something which gives you the chills sometimes like:
"To Zanarkand" (FFX), "main theme of FFVII", "Dearly Beloved" (KH),"1000 words" (FFX-2),"Ending Theme of FFX", "Main Theme of FVI" ,...
- Not those dungeon themes with always the same part.
- Not sheet music like those 18-months-learning-very-insane-hard FFVII Jenova and Fighting Piano Collections themes. (my max. learning time: 5 months)
Well ... You understand what I mean. Just good music which you like to play and to listen to. Preferably from RPG's.
Thank you :)

Coincidentally, I happen to arrange piano sheet music and I know exactly the kind of music you're talking about (I get chillbumps too when I play).
I've submitted some of my music (http://ichigos.com/res/getfile.php?id=891&type=gif) (the stuff that I feel is good enough) to http://ichigos.com, a site I'm personally attached to.
I highly recommend Eternity~Memory of Lightwaves from X-2. You'll love it!
I have my own incomplete transcription of it which I can send you if you want it, or you can do a google search for others (which are better than what I've done in most cases).
Like you, I've invested a huge amount of time into learning/playing the piano (started lessons at six, starting arranging my senior year in high-school) and I am still awestruck at how beautiful FF pieces sound on the piano.
Square Enix Music Online has an excellent arrangement section; I'm sure that there's something for you there. They also have the sheet music from a lot of official arrangement books. It's an awesome site in general for Video Game Music.

Oh, and not to forget, the SaGa Frontier II Piano Pieces are simply delicious! I can upload them for you if you want it! It's composed by Masashi Hamauzu, who contributed a third of FFX's score (which was obviously the best part) and arranged the Piano Collections of FFX, which is for me the best in the series so far.

Thanks. Wikipedia said this about the music:
Along with the SaGa Frontier 2 Original Soundtrack, SaGa Frontier 2's music was also used to create Piano Pieces "SF2" Rhapsody on a Theme of SaGa Frontier 2, a collection of tracks from the game rearranged for play on a piano (http://finalfantasy-xiii.net/wiki/Piano), as well as a handful of full orchestral (http://finalfantasy-xiii.net/wiki/Orchestra) pieces. Each track is actually a newly arranged piece based on a song from the original soundtrack. Both the original and rearranged versions of the music were composed by Masashi Hamauzu (http://finalfantasy-xiii.net/wiki/Masashi_Hamauzu).
It seems a great album. But I can't find mp3 files or sheet music for it. Does somebody has some links?
Update: I've found al the Mp3's. Now only the sheet music. They're great:

Hamauzu didn't compose a lot but the things he composed were absolutely stunning^_^. Especially the FFX songs. Also for me the theme of the FFXIII E3 08 trailer is also very special. Maybe he's a secret child of Nobuo Uematsu:)

Although not an RPG series, the Touhou-series got the universe of one and cast of three. If you want to know, the gamepley of the series are "danmaku", simply explained as "dodge the billion bullets". But the music is awesome, and here's some sheets for ya! Though, some of the music is rather....insane. If you find a sheet if "Hartmann's Youkai Girl" and you're able to play it, bragging is obligatory. Same thing with "Maiden's Illusionary Funeral - Necro-Fantasy".

From this site you can also just download the pdf's and print them out.

Hey Ram. Sorry for necrobumping this old thread, but would you mind sharing the scans for Saga frontier II? I've been looking for them for quite some time now but no luck whatsoever. Hell, I even transcribed some of the easier pieces like Heimatlose by ear, but it would be simply AWESOME to get my hands on the original scores >_<
edit: well, to remain in topic if you like Masashi Hamauzu he also composed the music for Unlimited Saga. The piano pieces should be available on squareenixmusic, last I checked.

pretty much every N64 up zelda game has a theme that is fucking epic so i suggest you learn one of those and then post it :awesome:

Check your PM box. Unlimited Saga's music is indeed awesome!

I have to agree. The music in SaGa Frontier II is completely epic. Now I want to play some pieces.
I found someone playing the piano version of K.K. Ragtime from some game called Animal Crossing. It's pretty nice too. I think you can find a link to it on Youtube. Look for Tom Brier's performance of it.
Could you send me the scans for the SaGa Frontier II music as well? I've also had a terrible time finding them.

As Shiranui said, I'm going to play some Zelda music. I've found a medley video on youtube which has over 2 million views and is awesome:
YouTube - Zelda piano Medley
I've saw the sheet music for Fairy fountain once, and it was f**king insane, but I'll try to do some.
I wonder if Nobuo Uematsu is going to create a Piano Collections album for FFXIV...
Can someone advise me a site where I can download the ultimate Zelda Main Theme?
And I've already mastered the Warner Bros theme. Just watch a tutorial on youtube or use my transcipt:
G# + C - Bb - F - C# + F - Eb - C
Repeat, repeat, repeat and end with an improvisation in G#.
(+ means go higher, - means go lower, b means flat, # means sharp)
Enjoy
Edit:
I've started learning Dark World (Zelda: A Link to the Past). It sounds beautiful, but seems hard. But after I tried it I realized that it's something like "Sweet Dreams are Made of This": Once you know your left hand, it's easy.
XIII will undoubtly get a PC, since Hamauzu is the composer.

Yeah, but I doubt if he releases the sheet music also.
They did it with every PC released so far, but I'm still waiting for the Kindom Hearts sheet music! (the album was released a month back)

Ook met FFXI? I can't find the sheet music anywhere..
Ja, zelfs 2! (even 2)
One came with a premium box which featured all FFXI music + PC & sheet music book and the other one was complete different, it was released as an album and a seperate book, but with different tracks.
