It would be part of the automated emailing system, the same one that wishes people a happy birthday or bugs unactive members to come back. No way would Kit do it if he had to email everyone individually :lol:

Nice idea. I'm probably putting out a far-fetched idea out there, but is there a way you can code the automated system to alert changes or new topics made in a forum section that a visitor is interested in and can access through their account/profile interface? Kind of like how internet browsers allow people to save favorite websites in their "Favorite" tab.

If you go to Thread Tools at the top of the thread (or Forum Tools at the top of a forum) and click Subscribe to Thread/Forum, you'll get notification if someone posts in a thread/creates a new topic. I think it's email notification, but your User CP should have a list of threads you've been active in lately.
