Why's no one talking about Agito? [Archive]

I know we're more intrested on the 13 and verses, (which i'm too) but don't forget Agito plays a big role in this story too, even though we're clutterd in Final Fantasy 13 news. I beleive that when it's released it'll be one of the games to turn the PSP around in sales and compete with the DS again

I think its beacause the lowness of trailer/scans/screenshots we have about it, also the main title and versus take the main attention of the pubblic :unsure:
And dont forget we know very little about plot and characters ç.ç

Its like SE is forget about agito. The last agito trailler SE released it said in the end " For mobile" but everyone knows that its coming to PSP.

i figure its because
its for a handheld which aren't as cool (exception pokemon XD) as console games and stuff
they havent really released a lot of "preview" media for it so we don't know how awesome its gonna be
we know how awesome xiii and vs. are gonna be esp xii cuz we've seen the gameplay which is pretty friggin sweet if i do say so myself
xiii attracts the most people because its awesome, we've seen the most footage about it and its for both ps3 and xbox 360 where both agito and vs are only on on playstation/sony systems

Well since theres a school and it seems like thats whats it revovled around. The replay value or mini games has to be one of the best. With so many subject in college, Square Enix would no doubt make some mini games that would be very addicting to the gameplay.

^ I don't understand the logic here... XD;

But it seems Agito's main portion, at least, will be set after the school is destroyed. An enemy force takes it over and it becomes destroyed in a conterattack, I believe.

And yes, the reason there's no agito talk is because there's no information. The pattern here is trailer/magazine > talk > no new info > talk dies > trailer/magazine > talk > repeat eternally until game comes out. :lol:

Also, it doesn't help that Square Enix treats this game like the red-headed stepchild of the FNC games. It makes it difficult to have meaningful discussion.

Not enough info about it yet (imo) and it's not as big of a project like XIII and versus, besides I also don't have a psp and there are quite a few people buying a ps3 for the XIII and versus games but most of them aren't going to buy a psp just for Agito cause it's not that special.

----That's why there's also the Third Birthday and that one KH game I forgot the name of. Agito's not the only PSP game Square's turning out.

i will just further the list of games you could get for "just" a psp
Crisis core, Dissidia aswell ^_^
but I can't say much about Agito since like Shu said, we haven't seen anything yet. though it sounds good and i will probaly get it aswell ^_^

They cancelled it and moved it to PSP ages ago because current generation phones weren't powerful enough for what they wanted to do.

I believe it's because people want the extra "next gen console" graphics and power. Yes I do have a PSP and a 360 don't get me wrong, but its all about the next gen quality.

But i'm looking forward to Agito and FF13 :)

P.S FF13's gameplay looks difficult :D

i think they just made the animation really spiffy

I guess no one is talking about it because there is too much hype around the other 2 games, i dont thik its because this game is not as good, there just isn't much known about it and the focus is on the other games because they have the most info so far (what little info that is)

Because no one gives a crap about Agito. Yeah people began to CARE after it was announced to be on the PSP, but with the lack of information and screens, why should anyone expect others to pay attention to it?

When it comes to a console, portable or not, the PSP is the KING of it. You can play practically any game with the exception of the DS games, but who cares, you can still pirate those games too to your DS. The only thing that tops the PSP is the computer. The computer is the pirate emperor.

Actually, I believe some people have gotten DS games to run on their PSP, but it only applies to homebrew games at the time being. Don't quote me on this, however... My PSP isn't neutered and I don't quite stay up to date on the latest piracy in PSP (but I wouldn't mind getting my PSP fixed up for all awesome homebrew stuff I've seen for PSP).

Some people feel like that had to pit the FFs against each other. "FF13 is the best! No FFv13 is!" So since FFa13 is on PSP it's treated like the unwanted cousin sometimes. LOL But I love all three FF13 games. You can count on me to do more than "who's stupider? Lightning or Noctis" threads. Seriously, why do people always have to agrue over consoles and characters? Why can we just agree that everything has something good and bad about it.

Oh, the 'school with students who can fight' setting kinda reminds me of ff8. Nothing new, so it ain't that interesting. Release a little more info, then maybe we'll change our minds..... XD

Same reason why it's becoming increasingly difficult to talk about Versus XIII, no fucking new info. And barely any to begin with. I might give a shit about this game if they would actually talk about it and showed it off once and a while.

here's the reason everyone has already been buggin about thirteen ever since they anounced it about a week before 12 was out and then the development process has been really long due to the fact of the PS3 and not wanting to fuck up. but in guess since they pissed everyone off already by waiting nearly 4 years to release the game they need to focus in feeding us more of 13 before it's offspring get anymore attention but don't worry people once the main 13 comes out they'll give us what they've been hiding in their cooch

Suffice it to say that once Agito is actually out there'll be a shit-storm of talks about it. It has infrastructure coop with 12 confirmed playable characters. I can't be the only one who's excited for this game.

It's sad because this was the first game to have in-game shots. And of the PSP version. How the hell do they release that but no info. Game developing may not be my area of expertise, but if the Crisis Core team is really working on Agito, how the hell is it that VERSUS has more info out than it? I suspect it's not the fact that SE can't release info, it's that they don't care. Man that pisses me off.

What's more is that SE has released about the first fraction of XIII's story and what is more than like more than half of the main cast. They could at least give us NAMES to the people of Agito and Versus. Honestly. They really can't do that.

Oh well. There's always TGS. Maybe this time we'll get a PSP version of the trailer (Yes, the "newest" trailer was the Cell phone version. This is after it was canceled mind you).

seeing how TGS will be the last big convention before 13 is released, i assume we're gonna get some treats for both agito and v13. i've said it many times before, but i'm pretty sure the lack of info on those 2 games is because SE wants everyone focused on 13.

Tis' fact.

But really, as said already, since their ultimate RPG is finally coming out at the end of the year, they'll probably shove the darkest FF down our throats for a while, with Agito presumably on the side. Which I'll be ok with. It'd be better if Agito got some more say though. It is the only numbered FF on handhelds period. (CC is a story continuation and Agito is a totally new game, so I don't really see it as a spin-off. Just another part of a series.)

indeed,it is quite hard to discuss. but it's not like they were gonna release at the same time anyway. i forget who started this thread but it's a simple formula: 13 is the main game, the oldest and therefore most perfect child in the family. versus for now is the middle child that was waiting for the oldest to gtfo so it could be the favorite. agito is the red-headed stepchild no one remembers right now b/c of 13. after 13 releases they'll give us a little more beyond what they'll give at the tokyo game show. not much but, better than nothin

I wish they would bring out some new info on it, and I am excited about it, but (and this is quite a major point) if it is a mainly multiplayer affair, I'm gonna be at a major loss. I only know one person with a PSP, and they don't care about Final Fantasy at all. Plus, I don't have broadband, so that's gonna ruin any online chances I may have had.

That's the only downer to this game, as far as I'm concerned.
