The way it seems now, versus will most likely be released 6 months to 1 year after xiii. If all goes well, I'm guessing that XIII will be released in the 2nd half of 2008 in Japan and early 2009 in US....

That leads to somewhere between July and December 2009 for versus to be released in US.

however, i believe that versus may be released closer together that normal for a FF game...

oh cmon reallY!> FFXIII for sho will be released early to mid next year (Q1-2 (2008) and should be out in the US a few months after ( Q 3-4 08) if all goes well...as for Versus XIII, it is only trailing behind FFXIII by a bit, so it should be released not that long after. Porobably late 08 to early 09 in japan..and agian later in the US

remember, FFXIII and Versus are both being developed simultaniously by different groups within Square Enix, so its not like Versus is being held back much if at all by development on XIII

some people may be like OMG XII took years to come out, but that was because of many mishaps and things that went on with the company during its development, so this time that is not a factor, and development should go smoothly..like previous games that would be released a year after the other

No date yet, We are just estimating.

As far as I know, both teams are working on white engine. And it will be more or less created for FFXIII eyes before it gets upgraded to suit Versus.

hopefully, thanks to the junking of PAL and NTSC due to the 16:9 standard, eu/us releasedates might just occur simultaneously. coz I just hate what I call "Eastbound Gaming", wich means, everything cool goeslike japan-us-europe...all the time...AND NO MORE CRAPPY PAL-CONVERIONS FROM SQUARE, YAAAAY!!!

yes in fact i can read.


My point is that sh*t happens, XII is a perfect example of that, it wasnt a one time thing. In fact, most good games (at least FF) do get pushed back.

I dont think you ever should trust dates on greater games, they always get pushed back. Im interested if MGS4 can keep their promise of a 2007 game. If they do I would be impressed.

according to the new article... it looks like a july-december 09 release seems right.
