we will find out in April. They announced that as 20th anniversary, something big is gonna happen in April. So if they have any intention of remaking it anytime soon, it will be announced in April.

Hopefully it will end speculation.

*Waits for April* Do you think that would be wise. I mean, they havent even finished Final Fantasy XIII yet, and I think if they were to remake it, then they would overshadow the Fabula Nova Crystallis project, because FF7 has years of loyal fans, and FFXIII has new fans aswell as old. But i dont know.

We'll just have to wait until April. Gutted.

Its a domain name SE bought up i think. So its speculation if its the name of the next FNC coming.

I do not want a ff vii remake, i just want them to say yes or no, its always been "we have no plans for a remake... at this time." I hate that last part. Personally Id rather see VI or IX remade first.

I think Square said they were going to release FFXIII in April 07, if my memory serves right. But they're bitches anyway and will push the release back probably. And even if they do release it in April, it'll be for Japan only, anyway. US won't get it till three to five months after the Japanese release.

FFVII remake comes packed in with FFVII: Crisis Core for PSP. Yes they will pull a Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix+(having a whole second game packed in).

I heard not long ago that the release of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan is going to be in early 2008. So, we won't see it until late 2008 then. Possibly later.

Maybe it is taking a whil for Final Fantasy XIII to come out, because Square-Enix is secretly working on a Final Fantasy VII Remake. Anything is possible...

As far as wanting a Final Fantasy VII remake, I AM ALL FOR IT!! I'll get to see more of my SMEXY Cloud so :wub:

Its cos they only started making it on PS3 in 2005. They originally started a PS2 version but swapped to PS3 after the tech demo.

I know that, but they didn't have much development done with it on the PS2 anyway. So, it didn't hurt them to switch to PS3. I guess since they are using the White Engine to develop Final Fantasy XIII, it is taking longer. After all, I have heard that the White Engine is quite difficult to develop on.

You never know though......what Square-Enix is doing behind closed doors. It isn't like them to keep secrets, because they love hype, but you never know....

If they ever do remake FFVII when the White Engine is complete I'm fine with it but if it takes up anymore of Nomura's time from Versus or XIII like his other projects have theres no point. He'll never get anything done.
