Fair enough. Personally, I think the movie sucks as well, as far as the story goes. S-E milked FF VII way too much when it was perfect the way it was when it came out in 1997.

But I do appreciate the visual and overall artistic side of it. I'm personally considering a pre-order to get it in Blu-Ray form (as much as the story sucks, the fight scenes are still epic in my book) and more specifically, to play the damn demo so I can finally have a glimpse of what's to come.

Sure I could wait till the gaming sites do some preview of the game (review of the demo, that is), but in that case, I prefer doing the work myself.


I don't want to brag about it, I don't want to be cool, I'm certainly not an idiot or a retard. I just want to have something in my hands to make the long wait a little bit easier. And of course, I want to see all that running on a 1080p set. in front of me.

I've been wondering something. Back when the RE5 demo released on the Japanese marketplace, Microsoft locked down the network so people outside Japan couldn't make a Japanese account just for the demo. Because of the that, the demo got uploaded to the internet (which I admit is where I got it, I downloaded it, put it on a disc and played it on my 360).

If it's possible to upload the RE5 demo, wouldn't it be possible to upload the FFXIII demo when it's released? Could it become publicly available on the internet?

Well they said its from the beginning of the game, but that doesn't mean we get to see the full intro already. Most likely they gonna leave stuff like that out even we play from the actual beginning.

IIRC the FFX demo was from the beginning (when Sin attacks Zanarkand), but that started with the blitzball game so it didnt have the intro. I imagine this demo will be similar.

Out of curiosity, the FFVII demos did have the full intro just like the actual game. But in that case it would be a bit hard to leave it out since it was so integrated with the story sequences the demo was set in.
