Yeah, i wan't to see what he is able to do, and on the picture he is saying that he have no choice maybe they are falling and lightning is just using gravity to slowly fly over to a safe platform, i dunno. And about the fire attack thing it looks like its the mob that is doing it.

totally agree....they lost their creativity for characters...it all began in ff 12...where they tried to make something "new".......failed.....now they go on with useless characters...now we have...emancipated woman , beachboy , nice disco guy , then it'll go on with cute asian girl and goggles bitch kid...wtf...where are the ideas ff was known for?...instead of that they go after the money and forget the real ff fans because they know they'll buy it anyway...so they make "new fans"...commercial crap....i can't see a hero in anyone of these characters....maybe they should involve a lovestory between afro guy and beayhboy....so that gay people could identify with also....spread the market...betake yourselves to our might

Stop spouting out of your arse, all the characters revealed and even the ones we only have descriptions of couldn't sound as further removed from ff12's characters if they tried, especially this guy. So far to me FFXIII's characters seem like a mix of VII, VIII and X's style wise, so they're only as redundant as you think they were and all your assumptions are moot.

the story seems to be different than in ff before....it's not the old empire thing...and Im sure there will be many surprises throughout the game because it is said that it'll be the longest game ever....I can imagine a foe becoming friend thing or the other way round...which we didn't have since ff 7.....moreover the battles look very good...the combination of ff 12 and old battlesystem is in my opinion the perfect adjustment....the futuristic world is also a good alternation to the ff before...now Im curious about the skill and leveling system....I like it complicated and complex...but not the everyone can everything thing from ff 12...that was weak....I hope they've learned from ff 12 weaknesses.....summons look interesting and the thing with the cd's they are summoned with fits to the whole concept....that's creative...now I hope there will be more than 6 character's because of the bigger assortment...something I have in mind is a cyborglike character which would fit to the game...would be something different...but I'm afraid they don't share my thoughts....anyway...the whole game looks good...but there should be almost one character I can Identify with...otherwise the motivation to play the game will suffer

That is true, no game is perfect, the only ones who say that a specific game is perfect are rabid fanboys of said game. Every game has its flaws.

Take FFX for example, it was a good game, nice story and also easy gameplay. The flaws of FFX is that it was too easy and it felt more like an interactive movie than a game.

And so far, I actually like the new characters of FFXIII, especially Sazh.

While we're bitching, I'll cut in and say I didn't see much of any character development, and most of the designs felt bland, so both for me. :cookie:

Rasler and Ashe's wedding designs were the best in my opinion, and those were unfortunately only 5 minutes max for screentime. ~___~

We just never got the introduction articles that read: "Hi, I'm a cute little prehistoric fashion pigtailed girl. I'm also ex-military."

hehe...guess your right...i forgot to say that I should wait for the characters in-game behaviour and apperance....but I think it has to do with that , that in ff before I played them knew more details about the characters so I could give stronger arguments whether I like them or not....by now the character appearances are not overwhelming...but i think snow has the most potential to be my favorite...let's see what the next weeks will bring

On paper I suppose nearly all FF characters would read just like that, or most rpg characters for that matter.

I can see why people might dislike this new guy more than the other 3 we've got, but I feel people are jumping the gun on him just being the comedic relief idiot, he only looks goofy in the concept picture, he looks pretty serious in pretty much every other screen. I'm betting on him being a lot more serious than people will expect, just with a quirk, but sure nearly everyone in these games has one anyway.

Yeah I've warmed to Snow, something about him irked me right from the start, his extra goofy pose hasn't helped but I'd say he's now my favourite, if he does turn out to be some surfer douche in the U.S/EU version I'll eat my words.

The perfect games" was always the one that did have flaws but the flaws didn't matter. Why? The story, how the characters grew as individuals and as a group also more importantly was a suddel nature found in each character whether it was sorrow or even happyness but there was always the cause which led back to the crystal or the empire and how it all contrasted together. Fuck, I havent played a game like that in years.
