A worldwide release for Final Fantasy XIII [Archive]

Final Fantasy XIII (http://www.gamekyo.com/element7274_game_final-fantasy-xiii.html) is one of the most expected games by the gamers communauty for 2009. But actually we had no informations about a date for the western side release and that is why the announced seen in Famitsu is pretty interesting:

'Final Fantasy XIII (http://www.gamekyo.com/element7274_game_final-fantasy-xiii.html) is set to hit retail store shelves on both sides of the Pacific sometime later this year'.

That's mean both US version and JP version will release both at the same time ^_^.

I think Square Enix really wants this game to be for the whole world!!!

How can they say it'll be a worldwide release when they've already said that the 360 port will delay it's release over here.

I don't think so. If I remember correctly (and forgive me, I just woke up) the PS3 and xbox360 versions were supposed to be released at the same time in North America.

Gamekyo? It's nothing but bullshit. They steal our scans and cut out the watermarks. They're a shit site.

As for me I believe them, it's not just Gamekyo which says so also other sites say that like :

it's pretty much confirmed now!! by 95%

PSU is the only site on the internet worse than Gamekyo.....oh wait....they linked to RPGfan. Okay you managed to post news that's only on the three worst sites on the internet. Seriously, don't believe it until it comes from a higher power.

You can't say that it will not be out by the end of the year for ever one. After all we know shit about the game for a game that will take over 100 hr. They could have it done and we would not know. I would bet that it is being ported to the 360 as I am typing this. We should have the game by about 10/09.

it's rubbish, the comment about a worldwide release was made by the site reporting on the famitsu article, nothing that famitsu said themselves.

but this specific news is definitely not real or rather official

I thought they were trying for a worldwide release or something close to like a week between Jp,US,Eu.

Nex is right. I'm pretty sure they said they'll work on the English version simultaneously with the 360 version, but niether should affect the Japanese release.

Don't know if we'll see English 360 come out at the same time as English PS3 or not. Haven't heard either way on it.
