Some more Information from Famitsu

Famitsu have updated their site with two new articles related to FFXIII and Versus.

The translation is pretty poor but it does give us a few more facts. This image (http://www.famitsu.com/game/coming/2007/01/11/h-104_65397_f1.jpg.jpg) from the scans is apparently the "foriegn material" being produced by the crystal based in Pulse which will destroy the people or the whole of Cocoon.
Another small part of the article which is hard to understand explains when Shiva is used water surrounds her and she uses this to freeze her enemies.

Famitsu mention that the scenery seen so far in Versus is quite obviously based on existing cities in Japan, most likely because it's supposed to be set in modern times however outside the protagonists country looks different.

I'm more or less facinated by versus gameplay. First I thought he was cool with this slow walk and controlling weapons, but he jumps and goes crazy with a gun just like Lightning^^

The water touches people, monsters, things and it suddenly freezes on contact. Nothing strange really, just a sudden drop in temp. I guess, maybe we get dry ice?

Why can't Shivas (I got my wish about the sisters/twins:D ) stick with ice. I know you need water to make ice but it would be same as giving Odin a box of matches.

well, thats the only thing you can do when you have a whole army against you.

Due to the fact that they used the train to transport prisoners through Pulse I can understand it being in Pulse. The trailer also shows the area around the train(near the end of the trailer) in complete chaos compared to that "haven" Cocoon.

Thanks for the new info!! This is so exciting! I can't wait! Seeing the him stabbing a soldier with one of his swords and shooting another soldier at the same time makes me so excited. Lightning from XIII and this main character from Versus fight in much the same way. Everything looks awesome!! ^_^

hey whats wrong with going crazy with the gun. he kills the enemy in style :ninja:
the gameplay wont be like kingdom hearts but is being put together by the same team who made it

Indeed, the newt issue of the PS2 Famitsu magazine, which will be released the 9th of this month will have a special part for the Fabula nova crystalis.
So expect new scan then... Still nothing is know, is something news will be shown in the scan as well.

Well I've bought this months issue of Famitsu which should arrive sometime this week (delivery takes ages) but that only came out on the 30th. The next issue comes out on the 28th not the 9th so I'm not sure about that information. Then again I'm ordering Famitsu Wave which is the only one for sale on Play-Asia and there is probably more versions of the magazine in Japan. Keep on the look out for them :)

Okay Famitsu Wave is here conveniently :P but had absolutely nothing on FFXIII. This issue concentrated on San Andreas which has just come out in Japan but I did get a scan of the back page proving that FNC will be featured in the next issue of Famitsu PS2:

I did try eBay but all they had was an Xbox 360 demo disk which isn't much help to us :P We don't have any Japanese affiliates but I'm sure the scans will turn up on FF7AC Reunion as soon as they're available. Thats if someone actually scans them in for us.

I really would like to import the magazine but I can't find anywhere that sells it. Play-Asia has issues from years ago and other odd sites only sell a few random issues from last year. I remember seeing Famitsu articles in our scans collection. Those are not the ones?
The images in the articles aren't new up to this point, but the info is. I'm quite new to the forum so I don't know how new the info really is. All I've checked out were the scans and the FNC mag that someone in the forum made. Anything other than those must be new right?
It's hard to know what's going on...

Pulse is the world FFXIII is based on. Cocoon is floating in the sky of Pulse :)

Im going to TGS 2007 this year so ill pop in some shops and bring back some Famitsu's with FFvsXIII and XIII coverage if any comes out during that time.
Damn i only have £700 for Japan, god i suck, i've got to save up about £2000 more as my dad is coming to go stare as geshias while i have a toodle around TGS and take me some freebee's.

As for Famitsu, i can only get Wave, it sucks.
I know theres the orginal Famitsu which only sells in Japan, but nobody seems to get hold of it unless you in damn Japan.
