Believe me HD screens and motions play role in order to see a great and positive results in term of graphics...

We only are just seeing the quality of scans it's not an official screens with HD quality.

So yeah the graphics are impressive and do look great even with a scan quality.

i dont know if i expect to much of the FF series, maybe i'm expecting the same grade of graphics that FFX had when it came out, it was the best looking game when it came out but FFXIII is nowhere near being the best looking game when it launch... and btw the trailers almost only shows you pre-rendered shit, even CrisisCore and FFXII had amazing CGI so the trailer doesnt say much>_<

well i dont compare the themes of the game, i compare the quality of the graphic, i look at the details on the meshes and clean everything is.. yes they are two diffrent types of games but still you can compare them in the way of how things technically looks and feel...

You should know that when a demo of a game is released it means that on the technicall part is finished, at least when it comes to graphics, and how long is it until the demo is out? 3 months right?!. so we can all guess on that there wont be that big of a change into the graphics, maybe they're still coding and tweaking the gameplay but not so much more than that..

Unfair? Maybe a little (but just because i've seen much more ingame footages of RE5), but in todays gaming world the standards are set very high and from a franchise as big as FF you cant really set them high enough^_^ but as i said before you cant really judge a game corretly on the graphics part before really playing it on your HDTV so i'm still hopefull of seing mindblowing graphics;)

ok first of all since i live in europe in a country they dont speak english as the first language i have to google up a word like "discrepancy", but as you said it you might be right >_< the thing is that i KNOW i'm gonna love this game, because for me the first thing is the gameplay and story and so far it looks and sounds good..but i aint gonna say that the graphics looks like what we all should expect from a first FF in this gen of gaming, i actually expected more of them and i kinda started to figure out now that it might have been to much for me to expect that..

If you mean FFXIII, then I'd say there was no issue to begin with -- the game looks fine.

Every time I look at this game I think it's beautifully structured. I'm not sure what else people want from the graphics these days. Do they...do they want it to pop out of the screen and touch them? Well, no matter how many times they scream like Janet Weiss, it's not going to. (rocky horror picture show reference)

Even if the graphics turn out to be less impressive than some other game, it's far from average, and if the battle system, story, and characters are phenomenal, the game, I'm sure, will end up being the best of the year...in spite of these injudiciously premature remarks on its mediocre graphics. A good game is made up of more than bits per sec. If anything proves that, it's the grand theft auto series. While it's far from impressive graphically, the gameplay is always one of the best offered from anyone.
