View Full Version : So when FFXIII is done

After FFXIII is released, do you think Square will focus on completing the entire Fabula Nova Crystallis complilation or concentrate on creating FFXIV and leaving FNC to the rest of the team?

I'm assuming they'll complete FNC first but I'm not really sure

I don't think they've planned out every entry in the FNC compliation, I think they just expect to keep adding onto it. They said that it was probably going to last a decade. Hopefully that isn't a decade from when the first game releases. >.<

I personally want Kitase's team to move onto FFXIV (or FFXV if a team is already working on 14. Maybe 12's team?). I really hope the tradition of releasing three FFs per generation continues. And an FFVII remake would NOT count.

I guess I'm not really a fan of FNC. I want FFXIV and KH3, not FFet ceteraXIII.

All I want is them to keep moving on - I fear we wont be seeing XIV anytime soon at all, and I half expect a high percentage of the current teams to be dead or retired by the time XV comes into question.

I don't like the whole "making completely different games, but they're still under the title of FFwhathaveyou.

well i really expect FNC to start slowing down after Versus XIII hits and then we'll see the same thing like the FFVII COM. I think they will keep it going but they will just see the other FF's released before the end of the decade.

it's likley they whey will. BUT im more of a fan of FFXIV.
But overall i want them to make as many as they can.

i think its stupid to think about XIV this early...

let them complete xiii,versus,agito and the tons of other games they have in work atm

then, maybe in 2-3 years you can speculate about XIV or other FNC titles

exactly, that's my words...you have read my mind.

Well, actually it's unfair to think of FFXIV right now, we have like five more years forward to go with. We still haven't played any of FNC and they haven't even release in JP markets .........

But I want to say something I'm sure of it....FNC will be the last FF game for Nomura to work in I don't know if he meant as a director or overall.

I think they'll do like the FF7 com. Did they stop making other games? Nope :aldo: I think they'll release these 3 games of the FNC and then work on the other 3, while working on XIV as well. Still, I think this thread is pretty useless. There's no point in asking these questions NOW. Let's enjoy FFXIII first

I think that the next FF (FFXIV) will be on the next gen consoles.. its most likely that they will continue on the FNC and make other games...

What did you mean with next console =O? It will take time when sony and etc. want make a new console with a better graphic as the PS3 and 360. In think that FF (FFXIV) will released for PS3 and 360 too like FFXIII.

I like to see a CG movie of FNC, as Advent Children. Considering the high expectations that were generated with FNC.

We'll won't be seeing FFXIV for awhile, but they'll be concentrating working on different projects.

Considering FFXIII will be finished THIS year, it's ridiculous to say it's too early to be theorising on this. What will the team work on next, another FNC title or FFXIV? Versus, Agito and other projects are irrelevant to this.

I think they will do FF13, then do more hand held and games for the successor console to help breach out their dominance and join other company (such as the Ubisoft Contract), They seem to be more passionate 'bout expanding than they do bout their games at the moment and it's depreciating the hype.

But 1 thing I want them to do.

FINISH THE DAMN NEW MMO!!!!!!!!! *Angry face*

Square has said that they want to treat FNC as it's own separate franchise, similar to what they're doing with the Compilation of FF7. So I'm gonna guess that the current FF-XIII team after it's released will start FF-XIV and the rest of the company will work on FNC.

they have that haersis game or whatever already copyrighted
and as far as FF goes for SE
they have some work to do on the crystal chronicle games

They might as well start a remake of final fantasy VII, as well as working on the next fnc installment or final fantasy XIV. Kitase himself hopes to do a remake after final fantasy XIII and as long as the original final fantasy VII team have no other major projects to work on and the opportunity for a remake is open, then there is no reason not to do a remake.

i heard the same as one of the users that posted before

that the FNC would last a decade because SE would add some movies to the compilation and books even
