Hello, I am pretty new to these forums but I've noticed something I just had to comment on: What is the deal with all the infighting about which game will be better? It doesn't make any sense to me.

Right now we are like starving caged animals who are occasionally tossed scraps by Sqeenix. What we are starving for is not food, but rather information. Squeenix is keeping the cards very close to their chest about these games. Given this, I completely fail to understand how anyone can have already reached a conclusion as to which game will be better. We know very little about FFXIII, and next to nothing about FFvsXIII.

I will confess that right now I am more excited about FFXIII than FFvsXIII, for the sole reason that FFXIII will be out first. I will almost certainly purchase both games, but I will save my excitement about FFvsXIII until we come a bit closer to a release date. If you want to get all worked up about it now that's fine, but is there really a need (or a basis) for bashing FFXIII at this point in time? (If the game comes out and it's bad, then by all means bash it then...)

I wonder if this phenomenon is due in part to residual hostility related to the announcement of a 360 port of FFXIII. I know a lot of people feel like this was some sort of betrayal...look, I was a huge Nintendo fan back when Square made the decision to develop FFVII for the Playstation instead of the N64. That made me feel betrayed, and that was a full-blown switch, not just a port. I got over it. VII, VIII, and XI all had PC ports and nobody cared. But I guess having it on another console always evokes greater emotions.

Anyway, life is too short for internet flamewars. Sit back, grab a beer, and chillax.

I think it's kind of like football teams and the fat dudes on the couch who watch em. Nobody really knows how it's gunna turn out, but if you ask those fat guys, one team is God and the other team is nothing but trash.

In the end, though, no matter whether we fight over which team is better or not, we all love football... I mean Final Fantasy. ^___^;

Yeah , I've just seen some people start to compare FF13 and FFversus13 together , and they begin to bash FF13. I don't know why , because these 2 games are very great together. FF13 is the original scheme of FF where there are still the power of fantasy in it and also the same pattern of the hero........it's in the light side , plus Lightning is so hot too , i can't bash at it cuz it's awesome and it's the mainstream. While FFversus13 is unorthodox , but it's very special and the main protagonist maybe not the good side.......but it's good. Most final fantasy fans like more versus xiii because the traillers are better than xiii and its a ps3 exclusive. That´s it. I dont know if versus is going to be better than xiii but its almost certain that xiii will be better than versus because for xiii we have final fantasy 7/8/10 team and for versus we have kingdom hearts/the world ends with you team. People who say good things about the game are hyped up about it. People who think the game will be god's next creation have unrealisticly high expectations. People who bash it now when the game hasn't even been released are simply being prejudice for whatever their own reason makes sense in ther minds.

However. Yeah, I can understand where you're coming from, but expect to see people argue about things from time to time. Sometimes, it's a healthy debate/discussion. Other times, well it's like the special olympics online. A few corrections though:

1) Probably should be Squeenix with a "u". Quack, Queer, Queen, Quip, Quick, Quantum, whatever word that starts with a "q" that I've seen so far it's usually followed by a "u". If you want to make it easier on yourself though, most sites and forums with any Final Fantasy or Square-Enix's game titles as their discussion topic or focus would let you slide with S.E., S-E, SE and etc. and everyone would do just fine.

2) This is rather self-righteous of me, however I find gamers (at the very least, people who play Final Fantasy) to be of a higher tier and classier people than people who watch football. My opinion is based on the fact that I have relatives who yell and scream at the tv, and they're just a bunch of baboons, morons, whatever. It's annoying, and inconsiderate especially if there are people trying to sleep in the same building. Why, I've even punched one of these relatives in the face once because he was being really obnoxious, there was a baby in the house for crying out loud (no pun intended). Regardless, there are many reasons why I personally dislike people who watch football or sports on TV, like how they should just grab their tv buddies and go play sports themselves to lose the disgusting beer guts they have instead of yelling at a screen displaying people who can't hear their cries of triumph or groans of disappointment. I know the OP didn't say anything about this but comparing us to a bunch of fatsos watching sports to us gamers is... meh.

3) Although there are many people who consume alcohol before the legal age... there are still minors here, and plenty of people who don't consume alcohol. So lets just change it to cider, juice or pop for the occasion.

Some people say that final fantasy versus XIII is better than final fantasy XIII because the trailer gave them a better impression. I can admit that the final fantasy versus XIII dks3713 trailer was more epic and interesting than the final fantasy XIII trailer, but that doesn't mean the game is better. Same for those who assume that final fantasy XIII is better. It's kind of like judging a book by it's cover.
