Sorry, no Versus or Agito here, but here's some photos of the newest Famitsu magazine~ Yay, thank you Lux and Toroca. XD
You can see a new character in the bottom left of the last photo, who I don't think was shown in the Jump Festa trailer.. Lux identified the location as one from the Advent Children Demo Disc.

Looks cool, but there is only 1 new gameplay screen. Are there more images in the mag?

Well the design was cool, so it's good to see it here too. Let's hope they won't be as stupid as the ones in FFXII :|

from FFXIII.net:
Some updates on the development by Kitase of SE:
- FF XIII will be a complete game in one package, and there will be no DLC. If they were to create DLC, they'd rather make a completely new game.
- FF XIII is up to the point where the base of the game is done, and they are starting to see some completion.
- They are going to promote FF XIII so much that the whole world will know about it.
- - - - - - - - -
Information Acquired from the scans:
- Apparently the MP system is gone and is replaced with a "cost" system.
- In one turn, you can stock up a series of commands and activate them all at once, instead of choosing one. Also, depending on the pattern of the commands you choose, Lightning's actions will change. For example, choosing "attack-attack-fire" and "attack-fire-attack" will activate different movements of Lightning. At the beginning of the game the maximum number of stocks per turn is 3, but it is very likely that the number will increase as you progress through the game.
- ATB is updated in the game, where you can to control the amount of the ATB gauge to use. For example, if you choose the maximum amount of commands in a turn, the gauge will become empty, but if you choose only one command in a turn, the loss of the gauge will be minimal.
- A yellow bar is displayed on the top right corner of the screen, which displays a "bonus" percentage on the bottom and the chain attack number on the top. "BREAK" replaces the chain number when the chain attack is broken. The use of the bar and the meaning of the bonus percentage is still unknown.
- The field system is very similar to FFXII's where the enemies are visible, and you have the choice to engage in combat or ignore. On the field you can check the enemies' names and HPs before you go into combat.
- The main enemies from the Holy Government are the Gewalt hounds, and the PSICOM soldiers. When Lightning was still in the Holy Government, she had some kind of association with PSICOM.
- The giant mechanical enemy that Lightning has been seen with on the train belongs to the Holy Government, and is called Manasvin. It mainly attacks with lasers and with circular blades that are attached to its wings.
- During gameplay, Lightning's weapon's form can freely be changed by a command in the menu. From a blade, to a gun, and vice versa.
- Lightning uses her weapon with her right hand, while she uses magic with her left hand. She does not summon gravity with her own powers, instead, she uses a special mechanic that's attached to her left hand.
- Not much of the new character on the bottom left corner of page 3 is revealed, except the fact that he knows Lightning since she was with the government.
^ Wow that's great! Especially the part where it says the same actions will look differently depending on the situation.

Thanks Blank for providing us with the photos and thanks Mercy for translating everything from the magazine(well almost everything). My theory was true after all, this means the battle system is going to rock. I love how they've switched from traditional mp(probably reserved for Versus) to costs now(hopefully this will be a change for the better). I really want to see the the different movements Lightning can do when we change the order of actions we want her to perform . The ability to switch weapon mode is great(imagine doing it seamlessly) hopefully the others will have it too.

I think I'm gonna miss MP, but it's no big deal. So the magic will have a cost as all the other actions? I've still not understood the battle system completely, but it's starting to make sense. I hope Lighting's weapon won't be the only that can be changed and the fact that Lighting's actions change based on the order of the actions sounds cool. Thanks a lot for the info!

I like that there won't be any DLC then, but I hope it doesn't mean they'll make a FFXII Final Mix + just beacuse they wanted to add a few more cutscenes and 2 new weapons when it was too late... No DLC is OK, but don't come up with the same game with extra stuff after a couple of months... And Japan Exclusive è_é

While I also liked MP, the system was a bit broken sometimes. I mean a lot of the time I would never use magic, preferring to save it for the inevitable boss fights. XII did have a good workaround though... but this cost idea could be quite sexy.

I do now think that Lightnings gunblade wont be switched through the game, but maybe there will be other gunblades to choose from further into the game.. but what i do hope is that you can upgrade the gunblade when you level up so that you dont do the same moves/attacks all the time with her weapon, it would be nice to see her do other stuff with it, a litle bit devil may cry style with the rpg feeling about it would be nice

Truth be told I was never a magic user, offensively. I only used it for cures and esunas. And I agree XII did have a good workaround

magic was basically useless in most FF games in the later stages, when your normal attack did more damage, it was a waste of time outside of white magic
but this system seems to allow you to chain both a normal attack + black magic, to essentially do two attacks in one chain, so i like how it keeps magic involved all the time

Awesome stuff Mercy, thanks a ton. <3 XD
I'm psyched to see this stuff in action.
I hope the recovery rate of the ATB is fairly high. My only real fear is that I'll end up spending a lot of time stocking ATB and not so much attacking. XD

GGGGRHRHGGRHRHGGRHGRGGGG, I want to have FFVIIACC BD release info soon, I wanntz FXIII demo! It's in Japanese, whateva, translation help will be up in a day, I just wanntz demo!
Apart from that, it almost appears as if that laser blast is a geometry. Look how those lightnings neatly curves around the blast beam and that they don't stray away from the beam either apart from at the base. It's still alpha, though...

It sounds like "saving ATB" doesn't really give you more ATB to use on your next turn - it just makes your next turn come quicker. Probably for cases where you know you're going to take a lot of damage, and want to save ATB to use to heal, or something.

That enemy in the first scan reminds me of the Guard Scorpion from VII.
And wow, the demo is coming out soooon! I hear it's longer than ACC. And that it's around 2 hours. Wow, that's the longest demo I've ever heard of. Makes me wonder how long the actual game will be. ^_^

I Hope The Actual Game Isnt Short. I Dont Wanna Spend Like 60$ On A Game And Only Play It For About 2 Days And Beat It (Devil May Cry 4) Besides I Dont THink They Would MAke It Short, I Mean The Gameplay Is Too Sick For That!

I mean, they can't make it shorter than FFXII (I hope). And that game was quite long.
I expect a ton of sidequests. I spent over 100 hours total on XII, so XIII should be ginormous. It's been in development long enough...
