So i wondered how does SE make the games.. Like they are using the Crystal Tool for Final Fantasy XIII...And Unreal Engine 3(was it?) for games like The Last Remnant.

So what is the Crystal Tool And Unreal Engine. Is it like a AMAZING Computer with a program that they are making the games with?

Can someone tell me how the "making of a game" works? :)

Really this isn't the kind of question you can expect to get answered on a forum. Read a book.

Not at all, the T-Rex is still very much thriving in parts of Canada.

Very interresting:

- Someone programs the engine to run on the console, the style of the game, the graphiqs. (or you could buy engines like unreal engine, Crystal tools,...) (=programmer)

- Someone writes the story. (=story writer)

- Someone creates your 3d models, locations and cutscenes with a modeller. Autodesk 3Ds Max or Maya is mostly used but there are a lot. (=graphiq animation director, graphiq location director,...)

- Someone composes and create the music. (=music composer)

- Someone makes text dialogs and menu's with another program (=planning director: event, world)

- There are other small things to do. (movie directing, research,...)

(Someone could do something of the list alone, or like SE does. put 2-4 people on a single category.)

At last you save al the files in a file format that is supported by the programming language so that the programmer could program everything (accept input, tie everything together, controls, ...) in a language like C,C# or C++.

Next you need to contact a publisher for the manual, box art and localization.

If you can program and create models saveable in a format readable by the programming language and write a story you can actually develop a game!

Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm only 15 and i'm learning visual basic express later i will learn it at school. i want to be a game programmer, scenario writer or translator!!

Could someone suggest me a good free modeling program?? (not Blender, too strange)
I hope this helps. Sayonara.
