Another failure for PS3. If this game got a 29/40 from Famitsu it will get a 4.5 from western reviews. The graphics arent great, gameplay looks stupid. first it was a single player rpg, after a rpg with optional online mode and now is more closer to a mmorpg.They didnt know what they were doing.

You're last statement brings music to my ears :). Theres too many "looker" games that have shallow gameplay and often times only show for shit faced gameplay.

Just because Famitsu gave it a semi-low rating, does not mean the game actually sucks, this is Famitsu we are talking about, one of the most random reviewers ever.
And according to most reviewers the average rating of The Last Remnant was a 7 out of 10 or lower, so there isn't really anything to brag about, so you got to play an average game before PS3 owners... so what...

Wanna know why The Last Remnant scored higher? It was that big shiny Square Enix logo on the front.

It was the same reason FFXII got 40. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it a fair bit, but 40? It deserved one point off at least, what with Vaan's burn-victim abs.

But the score isn't really THAT bad. It got just under 75%. Sure, it's not spectacular, but it's not necessarily bad.

The Last Remnant deserved around a 35/40 and the only reason its not a 40 is because of the lag issues.

I'm at the bases part in the story and they are flipping hard >.< Half an hour to an hour fight in each stupid base. They should have let you save between the fight outside the base and the boss fight inside.

Is 29 really that bad? I remember back in the days when a 7 or 8 was not that horrible.
This generation if a game socres 8, everyone thinks it will suck. It's just messed up.

Also, Level 5 games sometimes tend to get a bit too reptitive. And they don't always have the best stories. I'll keep my eyes open for this.

I'm going to have to second this. I've played some games that were either rated poorly or criticized on several aspects which I ended up really enjoying, or vice versa. The whole thing all boils down to opinion and personal judgement.
