In FF games like other RPG's you are encouraged to steal.

You know steal from your enemies, also go into people's houses, and raid the chests of complete strangers. Don't bother to buy stuff, just steal it.

Any thoughts on the stealing, or it's origins, within games?

(If there is a thread on this already, it's probably "too old" to bump. Sue me.)

Doesnt Really Mean Anything XD
I Mean If You Think You Can Do That In Real Life Something Is Wrong With You
I Mean Its Just A Game So Its Nothing Wrong With It As Long As You Remember Its Just
A Game.

We're also encouraged to cut people with swords and shoot guns, your point?

Exactly. If we're going to kill them anyway, why not rob them as well?

Maybe we should be able to rape human opponents as well? Just for the added realism?

Well a game where you would pick flowers from a field wouldn't be very appealing but shooting, robbing and such is.

I'd have to agree. The game wouldn't be very fun if violence and theft weren't apart of it. As for the origins, I've no idea. But they came up with something that is now universal in most RPGs.
