Lost Odyssey Or Eternal Sonata

so which on should i get.. which of those are better (in story,gameplay,visuals..etc)

If i go with the Eternal sonata so should i buy it to PS3 or the Xbox360?

if you like FF you should get Lost odyssey. I've played it and it's a great game from the original FF creator. It has a very good but drammatic story and a lot of perfect stories from "a 1000 years of dreams" Which made me cry a lot. For me it was a great game because of the great cinematics which gave me back the feeling i've experienced whith FFX. And that were feelings i hadn't feel for a long time.
The bad things about LO: Linear story and nothing much else. And the game has overall an dark/colorless/grey style.
It has very good music by veteran Nobuo Uematsu.

I also have ES and it is a lot more colorfull! (similar to tales of ...) But the game isn't realistic and is about music. Which i don't really like in modern RPG's. Also it has a weak menu and battle system. But a great musical score by Motoi Sakuraba.

I would suggest Lost Odyssey

if i would say which one thats easiest if you search every corner it has to be ES you can do the most sick dam in that game with the right equipment and easiest to make money since you can just take pictures in the battles and sell em.

LO is really nice but there is a thousand of caves it's crazy, in the start you meet the hardest boss most ppl would say, and killing it depends on luck... but overall its a really nice game and you can consume alot of time playing it. :p

i'd go for both but take LO if you're looking for a good story, good battle system and overall nice graphic, and ES if you're looking colorful and fun battle system but boring storyline :p

I got ES for the PS3 I because it was the only rpg at the time. I don't really like it, its not bad or anything though its just ok. Get Valkyria Chronicles

I have not played Eternal Sonata but find Lost Odyssey to be one of the best JRPG of all time.

i decided that i will buy both games. :D and then i buy infinite undiscovery. i dosent get so good review`s but it looks pretty nice to me.

And more playing for xmas holiday :D

I never finished Lost Odyssey, but I played through Eternal Sonata on the 360 and really enjoyed it. It's kind-of cutesy though, so if that bothers you at all I'd say no to that.

But get it for the PS3, because it has extra content. :]

it depends on how old you are.. 10-16 you might still enjoy playing a game like ES but if you are older then you should play LO.. the only bad thing about LO is that they never surprise you. EVER!! and its not that alike FFX, you can literally see whats coming in LO but the memorys of Kaim is worth buying the game for

I finished LO and it was average as fuck. I played the demo of Eternal Sonata and it was shite. Go for LO, but expect mediocre graphics, an unsatisfying battle system due to the absense of summons or limit break equilalents and lots of frame rate drops.
