Hello folks, I decided that I was going to cover the spike VGA since I will be watching it. For those who don't know what VGA is, it's Video Game Awards. They will give awards to the best of the best of 2008 along with sneak peaks of upcoming blockbusters!
The show will be starting at 9 PM EST / 8 PM CST. On spike. That's 241 for those who have Direct TV and I believe 78 for those who have Time Warner Cable.
I will be posting coverage of the event as it goes, so check back for updates. This is the first time I have done something like this so please bare with me. Also the show will be put on Game Trailers at a later time, I will post them when they show up.

*FULL COVERAGE*
Jack Black is the host for the show tonight and at the beginning of the show he has sex with a PS3 and Xbox360 and then is killied by his wife (the Wii) while his son (The DS) is present.
Gears of War 2 new map pack shown, to go on Xbox live tonight. I believe the map pack is called Gold Rush.
LL Cool J is doing a live performance on stage. New UFC game clips are shown, looks like an average fighting game. The clips are now being shown while LL Cool J raps on stage.
VGA Award Best Shooter:
Far Cry 2 (vs) Left 4 Dead (vs) Resistance 2 (vs) Gears of War 2.
Winner: Gears of War 2 and winner of best Xbox 360 game.
God of War 3 clip is shown. Kratos is shown killing some enemies, the graphics look pretty good. This was an extremely short clip. There was no new CGI footage.
Jack Black is back on stage and is acting like a retard. There was a double on stage and the real jack black is back on stage. But unfortunately he's still being an idiot.
EA Sports President is on stage. He is saying that he wants a legends vs legends Fight Night game. The premiere is now starting. Mike Tyson vs Muhammed Ali is shown and they are beating each others ass. This is most likely CGI footage, if not the in-game footage looks great.
Best Independent Game fueled by Dew:

This wasn't on the VGA but there was a commercial shown about Resident Evil Degeneration. It will be hitting the stores on December 27th. Woot!
Big Name on the Game Award:
Winner: Keifer Sutherland.
All american rejects are now on stage performing.
Kim Kardashian is on stage and is announceing a new game for consoles. It's called Dantes Inferno and it will release in 2009. Premiere is starting and its based on a book. It deals with death and the deadly sins. Some footage was shown with a guy killing zombies but it didn't look that great graphics wise.
Gamer God Award:
Will Wright.
Rock Star Games GTA IV Lost and Damned premiere shown. Graphics are awesome. Quite a few characters from the gang are shown in the footage. This is a game from their point of views in liberty city. This has NOTHING to do with Niko. Just showed them riding on bikes and then running around shooting shot guns. Lol.
Jack Black is on stage performing some crap and then gives up. He then calls Charlie Mcrae (writer of the VGA awards) on the stage with him. They are argueing back and forth.
Best RPG Game Award:
Fable II (vs) Fallout 3 (vs) Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (vs) The World End With You.
Winner: Fallout 3.
Uncharted 2 premiere is now being shown. All footage is going to be shown on the in-game engine. Nathan Drake is back BABY!!!! Drake is waking up on a bus or a train it looks like. He is all bloody. He says "That's my blood, and repeats it." He looks out the window and a barrell flys in the window. He then falls out of the train/bus because it tips back and he then grabs onto some bars and says "Aww crap" Premiere ends. Graphics were AWESOME.
Terminator Salvation Premiere is going to be shown. Footage shows a city with loads of shit destroyed. The terminators and resistance are fighting with each other. Graphics are not bad. It's a third person shooter and it looks like Gears of War somewhat but the graphics are not as good.
Mafia II premiere is about to be shown. Footage starts with people being shown in a church. A character says Jesus Christ in church as his mom pushes him in one of those boxes where you talk to a priest. It then shows some fight scenes and some cars. Not bad, but it wasn't that interesting. Also graphics were decent.
50 Cent is performing on stage.
Best Music Game Award
Rock Band 2 (vs) Singstar (vs) Guitar Hero World Tour (vs) Wii Music
Winner: Rockband 2 and it also wins best soundtrack.
Best Studio of the Year Award:
Media Molecule (vs) Rockstar North (vs) Harmonix (vs) Bethesda.
Winner: Media Molecule and winning BEST PS3 game WTF?
Best Driving Game: Burnout Paradise
Best game based on TV show or Movie:Lego Indiana Jones
Best Fighting Game: Soul Calibur 4
Best PC Game and Best Multiplayer: Left 4 Dead
Best DS Game: Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Best Wii Game: Boom Blox
Best Sports Game: shaun white
Best performance by Male: Whoever did Niko Belik in GTA IV.
Best Performance by Female: Whoever did Meryl from MGS4.

HOLY SHIT that was evil, they announced like 30 things within 20 seconds.
Jack Black is back on stage and he is going to premiere "the best video game ever made." He has Tim Schafer come out onto the stage. The game is Brutal Legend. Jack Black is apparently in the game and he's having a spaz on the stage. They are now showing the trailer. A guy is using "rock" powers to kill enemies. He also ran around on a cheetah that blows fire. The graphics suck horribly. Jack Black is the main character BTW.

Grand Theft Auto 4 (vs) LittleBigPlanet (vs) Fallout 3 (vs) Metal Gear Solid 4 (vs) Gears of War 2
Winner: Grand Theft Auto IV and also winning best Action game. (That was not what I expected)
