For what it is and what it's coming from, I think it looks awesome and I can't wait! Even if it's terrible I could care less because I've waited for this since middle school. I love Dragonball as much as any hardcore fan, but I'm no purist who expects Hollywood adaptions to keep butt-close with the original material. I'll be able to enjoy it for what it is. I've seen too many terrible movies to associate this with something horrific.


Even though I love Dragonball and have every episode, I'm fully aware that it was hardly Shakespeare. I think most are taking this too seriously and forgetting...THIS IS FRIKKIN DRAGONBALL! over the top goofiness/action and stuff blowing up is all I care too see here and it looks like it will be delivered with gusto

no. you're not. But people who dislike things are usually more verbal than people who like them...at least that's the way it is online in my experience

Not that people can't dislike what they wish, but this is a Hollywood adaption. Anyone expecting a super close translation was fooling themselves from the start. I'm pleased with all they've gotten right(Goku's hair, capsule technology,power pole,piccolo is green,Goku's gi, Kamehameha wave, roshi's hawian shirt, mai's shapeshifting)^_^ I'm a DBZ fanatic but I've never been a purist so I never find a point in complaining about all the things that don't match up is fruitless, and we all saw this coming ages ago.

Doesn't matter though. This movie will bank because even all the Dragon Ball fans who think it looks terrible will be there opening weekend anyway:lol: i fyou do watch it , keep an open mind and try to enjoy it for what it is rather than hating it for what it isn't.
