I'm enjoying The Last Remnant.

It's on 2 Discs in case anybody wants to know. Not a bad game at all. I hate the way Rush runs in the field but ah well...

- 6 hours in and story seems pretty interesting.
- Irina is hot but she's only 14.
- The music in battles sounds doesn't really suit the atmosphere of the game IMO.
- Graphics are great IMO.
- Battle system is good but not amazing but that's what I expecvt from FFXIII. ^_^

Nah, you're the lucky one as the PS3 version will probably have extra content to my dismay. Still, owning a 360 has benefits seeing as I get to play and finish this game before the PS3 version even comes out. ^_^

Usually the quality of graphics is a matter of opinion, but I'm sorry you're just wrong. Few games are better than Uncharted and The Last Remnant certainly isn't one of them.

.....What? But it looks so dull and Unreal Enginey. I'd say even Mass Effect looked better and that wasn't a very pretty game at times. The technical issues I've seen alone in the game look annoying.

Well, I ain't gonna lie, it looks good in that shot but when I saw it running it wasn't that impressive to me. There was graphical and lighting issues that, coupled with the realistic charcater models, made the game look not that great.

With The Last Remnant it's not trying to be photorealistic and instead has an CGI style vibe that Unreal Engine 3 does well.

I guess I prefer games to look CGI rather than photorealistic. Uncharted doesn't do it for me as it has graphical issues I'm not feelin' for a game trying to look photorealistic.

I mean compare Uncharted to Heavy Rain and you'll see what I mean.

Last Remnant looks better than that shot, seeing as that screen was one of the first released, and it received quite a bit of polish since then

the only problem i have with the graphics are the performance issues, pop-in and framerate in combat.

I hear the install helps this, but its dissapointing that it's there at all. IN any case tho, the cutscenes in the beggining, with litterally hundreds of soldiers marching did leave me stunned.

The comparison shouldnt even be made...they are 2 different games, 2 different genre's built with 2 different engines, 2 different platforms and one of them is an exclusive, and the other is multiplatform. its just not a fair comparison to begin with..a good comparison would be To Lost Odyssey.

I played Lost Odyssey installed and it ran beautifully. But Last Remnant still shutters, and still has texture pop-in. >_< The framerate pretty much drops during almost every action. It doesnt make it unplayable because of the nature of the game (turn based, and even the QTE like events arent affected) but it just makes it very annoying to play for someone like me, who likes things to run smoothly.

Trust me, just install w/e disc ur playing on, itl be like 6 gigs, and the game will load fast, battles will load pretty much instant too, all u have to wait for are the animations. Framerate will be cleaned up a bit during gameplay too (since most of it was due to loading)

Hmm...

Well it's most like FFXII I think. Enemies are on the field but the battles take place on a seperate battle field. The actual battle system is hard for me to describe, your best to wait for a review or go to the NA website for an explanation.

The game is not mind-blowing and the battles take LONG and will take a while to get used to but they feel good once you're in and maybe a bit unique.

LO has a better story I think but I'm only 8 hours into this game. The battle system is more modern in this game while LO was straight retro turn-based.

The voice acting is OK, lip syncing is off most of the time but I just love Nero's voice. Voice acting is never an issue with me in a game anyway, I expect it to not be spot on as it's animated people talking.

I think though that this game is going to be one of those games that its either going to stick strong with some and others are going to say "oh meh another SE flop". This is one of the reasons I don't listien to reviewers anymore because they can't well... review.

Ok, I have been playing this game for awhile now and all I got to say is that it is finominal! The story line is very well written so far and the battle system is kind of cool. There is a tad slowdown in the battle system, BUT it is nowhere as near as bad as the vids on the internet make it look. It goes a tad slow, but then speeds up so fast...so the slowdown isn't even a problem. This game is definitely great and I advise anyone who has a slight interest in it, dish out the 65 bucks because Square has done it again.

Also I think the lip syncing for the voices is great so far, havent seen any screw ups.

Ok I love this game but the guys who created the bases can suck on my damn chicken nuggets! These bases are RIDICOULOUS. Over a 30 min outside battle then a boss battle inside that takes about 20-30 min with no save! F-U SE!!!!!!!! GOD

LOL! Like the PS3 has any other good JRPGs going for it besides this game when it comes out for it. :rolleyes:

The story is a bit like FFXII but the villain is a complete badass. The battle system is a hybrid of FFXII/SaGa/Ogre Battle.

Good GOD! HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT SQUARE-ENIX!!!!!!!

This is the final base:

- About 40 people outside fight that takes 25-30 minutes

- Inside fight with boss that can kill you almost instantly every turn with about 15 people with him. This takes like 30-40 min

- Suprise boss battle and he uses a move every 3 turns that can wipe you almost instantly.

MOTHER OF GOD!!! There are no saves inbetween this crap...it's all one go!

I decided to level my battle rank from 74 to 90...it's taken me over 550 monsters to do that, gona go back and try again. God Young and Cyclops you can sucks it!

Anyone else beat these pricks yet?

YESS!!! I finally won! The first 2 fights were easy as hell. The 2nd one could still put up a fight but he couldn't even take out half my HP with the special. The 3rd fight was still a little tricky. But I WON!!!!!!

It took me like 2 weeks to do those bases! TIP: Rank up ALOT!
