A GoW movie has been in talks since 2005, and from what I understood from the actual video interview, it's still waiting for green light, and if it's not, there'll be none.

And I was referring to the link in top post, that is still the PS3 game that had this teaser on E3 this year. But the GoW movie is not even in pre-production yet, and along with the fact that it still hasn't even been greenlighted, 2010 is extremely unlikely for a release. Maybe they'll begin actually making the movie that year...

Since Kratos did go back in time and prevented the capture of the Titans it is a definite possibility that the present could have been altered so that Athena is still alive. But in that case, it's also possible that Ares is alive too.
