Fuck You Database Errors

I can imagine everyone including me is getting pretty pissed off with these constant database errors. Well I've tried everything really to fix the server but I feel as though I'm just delaying the inevitable. The database and site run on the same server and as the database has gotten soo large, they're fighting for resources.

We're going to be upgrading our server again and moving to a new host in the coming weeks. It's gonna be costing us about 3 times as much as our current host (who we're still paying for until December) but it'll be worth it. It's a dedicated server which is pretty excessive for a fansite but I'll be using it for other projects in the future.

I'll update you all when things are ready to move so bear with us while for the time being.

Yeah it hasn't happened for a few days. I suppose the server started to behave after finding out it was going to get replaced. I also did disable a few server intensive things like the Store (FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUU-) and some default vBulletin settings. They shouldn't be a problem after the move though. We're going from sharing one processor with 5 - 7 other people to having 2 entire processors to ourselves. :aldo:

Anyway, I'm all done. Setting up a server on my own, avoiding to pay for a control panel is about as hard as I assumed. I can't wait till this is over with. I'm planning on making the move today so everyone be aware that the forums may go off for a while. I'll post an announcement with further details. :V

Everythings done now. The sites been moved over succesfully. There still may be some changes that have to be made to optimise the server though.
