CCTVs are everwhere nowdays, you cant go toilet not to be recorded. Where I live in London, almost every place is full of them, and this same thing is happening all over the world. It become popular to install cameras in schools, colleges, banks, transport vehicles, litrally eveywhere.
All that due to secure our safetly obviously
or at least that what they say....
almost every day I walk to college I pick a copy of newspaper where I read of another man, woman, kid whatever stubbed, shoted or killed in other way. The camera cant prevent criminals from doing this, they meant to help find the criminal aftewards, but this system doesnt work really.
even if there was an accident in tube where is tones of these cameras, they are still not able to catch the person resonsibly for what have happend
so what are they for?
of course occasionaly they use them, and sometimes they are not that useless, but that the minority of accidents.
And I dont believe the techonology is not advance enough not to be able to take a clear shot of humans face
I see it as a another way of worlds govermanet actions that meant to controll us citizen even more and more
they want to have ours DNA, bank details, address etc etc.
is this really for our safetly?
here in london they even tried to take more of yours personal details for your Oyster card(digital ticket for travelling) so as they say gather some information
as for me, this is getting even more ridicioulus.
if any of you read Orwell you will know what I mean.
He basiclly desciribe future as a big Big Brother house, and us a us players
I dont mid these camers that much, I am not criminal, but I dont think its for criminals, its not either due to "TERRORISM", but just a way to controll us....

Are you talking about 1984? Good film, never read the book.

I don't think you need to worry about that happening anytime soon. They'd need to drug people like equilibrium for a dystopia to be put into place.

I have never saw a movie, I dindnt even realize they made one, but the book is worth of reccomending
But I think wouldnt need drug, they wont put this to such a critical stage, more like a point where they will have all your information, and they will know everywhere u go.
Its already happening, even with credit cards, they recorded u whenether u take out ur money, I think that's harming our privacy
but perhpas not we but our kids will witnesses that

Maybe after a third world war has ended the world would change a lot to make sure we dont destroy the world, dont know if it will go as far as to drug us so we dont have any emotion but im thinking we will all be chipped and stuff.

I really don't want that to happen. It will be biological weapons. Not just nuke but some crazy gas and grenades. It will be really bad. I never want it really.

We need some sort of clever question people need to answer before they can get into Serious Discussion.

Along the lines of
Q: Are you an idiot?
A: Yes (no access) or
A: No (no access you liar)

Intelligent members will notice the 'Skip this question' option below 'Submit Answer'.

I used to like 1984 until I saw this thread.
