Piano black, and shiny as anything. Hasn't got a scratch on it, and I've had it for 10 months. It looks like someone polished it, but all I do is clean it and its vents once a week. It hasn't moved since the day I set it up. xD

How do you clean the vents?
Do you use a vacuum?

You use a cotton bud, but you might have to mess around with the fuzz on the end first. You don't stick it right in, though. To take the top layer of dust off, you use a glasses cleaning cloth, same as the casing.

The store I bought my PS3 in ran out of the black ones hence my white PS3. It was just introduced the time I bought it. Would've been better if I had a black one though.

If you are using a high-powered (standard household) vaccum then there's a risk of serious damage to the internal componants. The booklets that come with the console say to use a low-powered vaccum cleaner if other methods don't work for you.

I recently used my dads compressor and blew it clean. Works nicely except for some problems with the controllers when they are connected by USB, but that was before I cleaned it as well. Though it could be dust, as I had also cleaned my laptop in the same manner. From being a major source of noise and constantly crashing, it suddenly runs perfectly.

Mine is black (surprise!).

I clean it just using an old cloth, wipe the dust away. When I'm not using it I leave something on top of the vents so dust can't fall in :lol:

Black, but I'd much rather have a white or silver one. I also hate that it's so glossy. Sure, it looks nice at first, but it's going to show a lot of dust and scratches.

It's not really worth the cost of importing one since you're paying more for a technically less functional machine that's a different color. I haven't seen the gunmetal one in person, but apparently it's not glossy and I'd love that.
