Is it Worth Getting Another Playstation 3?

So, is it worth getting another Playstation 3...mine met an...uh, interesting fate (It shouldn't have been in the flight path of my Inspiron 1720 that's going back to Dell...nice and damaged). So here's a question, is it really worth buying another Playstation 3. I already have a Blu-Ray player (and a recorder) among other things and there isn't a game I can think of that I want on the Playstation 3 (other than Home) and I can just get Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360...unless they come out with a console bundle with a specially skined Playstation 3.

So, is it worth buying another Playstation 3?

Well BioShock is coming to PS3 thats an awsome game i only tryed like 20 mins of the 360 demo it was pretty amazing.

If you liked your PS3, or/and were using your PS3 before it met its sad fate and ultimately if you have games for it that you still want to play, or games coming out for it that you want to play as well (Kimitsu even made a super sparkly list of PS3 exclusive games which was stickied in the very same section you posted this thread in! (http://finalfantasyversusxiii.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4382)) then YES, LOGICALLY YOU WOULD BUY A GOD DAMNED NEW PS3. THE CHAIN OF THOUGHT WASN'T SO HARD WAS IT.

Sorry, I just don't get why anyone would have to ask a series of strangers if he should re-buy his stolen copy of Halo 3 which he really hated. Just, why??

My point is we can't decide your preference for you, or decide what games you want to play on your PS3. That's up to you to take the initiative. The most we could do is recommend PS3 games following your gaming preference I guess, unless this is what you were basically asking for.

To me it is worth getting PS3 for Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Ive been wanting that game, i just want to know the release date. Also i wanted to be the first one to get it, but i dont think that will happen.

I'm not getting into the "PS3 is going to PWNT the 360... Someday!" ordeal, but I agree that in time developers are going to understand the potential of the PS3, and be able to do some amazing things. Should it's predecessors speak for it's offspring then it's quite possible.

When I look ahead, I see Home, but I don't know much about Home. So I'll ask you all, will Home allow users to speak vocally via the headset, or will it be another quiet little thing. Aside from Home, I don't see any appealing reason to buy another Playstation 3, I personally thought Killzone 1 sucked, and I'm not interested in God of War 2 and Resistance 2.

And finally, aren't we all getting ahead of our selves here? I'm sorry, but "full potential" is how do you say it, hmm, full of yourselves? I hope you do know that theoretical is a word for a reason and isn't typically reached (ala Pentium 4 and 10Ghz). Aside from I think two things, all the Playstation 3's graphical output specs are below the Xbox 360's. Architecture my friend, artchitecture.

i believe that you will be able to talk using the headset... and full potential isn't full of our selves, i'm just saying that the game currently being made on ps3 aren't using all of the ps3's CPU capacity...

The way i see it, if the answer is so friggin difficult to come up with on your own, despite the fact that you allready owned one, then you have your answer...its not worth it, because if it was, then you wouldnt be having this conversation to begin with.

But like i say to everyone. Get a 360 (you allready have it) so just step off the PS3 until it becomes necessary to own one for whatever reason, be it an exclusive game that you want or something of the sort. Like im doing.

Save yourself the comparison. To say "xbox can't compete to half of the ps3's true potential" and then say "idk much about the xbox" makes you look like an utter fool.. The Xbox was superiror to the PS2 in every fashion, yet that accounted for nothing.

PS3 is a great machine/computer even though the ps3 library is lacking, although I think alot of worthy games are on both ps3 and 360 minus Gears and Halo but it's really up to you. Just to say you have it when the better games come out for it, and hey you'd have the blu ray player
