Star Wars Galaxies Designer Jeff Freeman Dies

When Star Wars Galaxies came out it was the best MMO, maybe even one of the best games ever. I still maintain the first couple of years of it's existence were amazing even if it was full of Star Wars. Unfortunately the designers wouldn't let it run it's course and began doing "combat resets" where they would ruin everyones stats to make it easier for new players. This was possibly one of the worst ever decisions in PC gaming because it barely helped new players and aggrivated veterans. Luckily I stopped playing before these happened.

The lead designer Jeff Freeman got a lot of hate for this and eventually left Sony Online Entertainment. Now he's commited suicide. Apparently it was nothing to do with all the hate he recieved but personal issues. Lesson over.

Dude, this sucks. I actually liked SW: galaxies. And your right, the constant combat resets were fucking terrible.
