It doesn't show him dressing up as Squall. More like, Gackt claims that Nomura designed Squall after him because the jacket that Gackt modeled at the time was similar to Squall's.

Genesis is basically Gackt. :aldo: Gackt is Genesis. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually liked the outfit and wore it often. I've seen music vids where he had his hair in cornrows and wore the outfit. I dunno if you could call it cosplaying when he is the character and is the model for the character. :aldo:
