Non-Human Characters?

Do you think there will be any in any of these games? FFVII, FFIX, FFX, FFXI, and FFXII all had non-human playable characters, so it can be said that in recent years SE has almost always chosen to include them. Do you guys think they'll follow suit in FNC?

it is actually very interesting issue you know, good topic for thread, I personally debut, they are tring to make things look more realistic, in style I think it will be similar to FF8, were there wasnt any unhuman creatures, or at least not any major one.
But if they would make them perhpas only in FF13, not in Versus,

I agree to an extent. I'm only asking myself this because FFVII included them, and it was also set in a more modern era. So I can't really see them excluding them just for that reason

Then Agito, but Versus is the more unlikely maybe because we didn't even get a glimpse of an animal.

I think it will be strange non-human chars in ff13. FF7´s no-human chars worked well cause the graphic werent realist. If there is really no-human chars in 13 it should be like Fran( a race very closer to human)

Well Khimari wasn't as humanoid as Fran and the graphics were realistic. I think they pulled that off really well. :D

But question is, is there a situation in the game where there would be another race? FFXIII does seem the most likely, and with the style of Agito, chances for a animalish character there are looking good.

As for Versus, maybe there will be one that ties in with the whole Death God thing?

Yes, I wasn't sure about the earlier FF's because I've never played them, but I had a feeling at least one included a non-human character. Thanks for clearing that up :)

XIII will have a higher chance of hybrid races than Versus and Agito, due to it being a like a technologically advanced, traditional Final Fantasy. I imagine there will be several semi-human tribes living on Pulse, and they would be very involdved with nature, the crystals etc.
Versus will most likely have Anubis-type beings (http://www.alicia-logic.com/capsimages/mr_004ArmyOfAnubis.jpg) that are loyal to the Death God, adn angelic beings that oppose them. There may be some Viera thrown into the mix somewhere, but that's up to Squeenix.

I think is VERY unprobable that will be viera in versus XIII but i think that the other things you said make sense.

I don't see how they wouldn't. Just say that the vampires drank some kind of crystal stuff, and the werewolves were bit by crystal infused wolves.

Probably only for FF XIII not Versus though.
