Which was your first Final Fantasy? My first was X but i know that VII was the first to almost everyone.

The first game I played would be VII, but that was a demo on the computer, so that may not count. The first real game I played and owned was X.

X was my FF debut, and I instantly fell in love with the story. Went on reading a bit more about the series, and heard many great things about VII and VIII, so I bought them for the PS1 and played through them both in a few weeks. I love these three games, the rest haven't been so great, but I feel like Versus can take the series back to the top. Sorry, off-topic devil ^^ But, yeah, my first was X :D

Firstly,i played FFVIII demo,i liked it very much and asked my father to buy one^^ But my uncle brought me FFVII and that was the moment when my love to Final Fantasy bloomed^^

hm, my first FF ever was FF7 back when i was like 8 yrs, my friend let me borrow it but he only had disc 1 and 3 lol, plus i didnt even have a memory card. but i oh so enjoyed it. later on, i was about 10, my dad bought FF9 for me for my birthday, which was the first Final Fantasy I finished from start to finish :D

I started VII and VIII simultaneously. Ended up focussing on VIII and finishing that, then going back and completing VII.

VI, VII, or VIII...I can't really remember. I think I started all of them around the same time, but I was young and foolish and got annoyed with the graphics of VI and VII so I left them and finished VIII first and returned to them later lol

The first Final Fantasy I played was X, but the first I ever bought was Advent Children, ironically. I played Kingdom Hearts and wanted to investigate Cloud and 'Leon', seen Cloud in AC and lined up to buy it when it was to be released. I've only played two or so FFs but it's by far my favourite series.

Final Fantasy VIII was my first FF game. I was just absolutely blown away by everything in it - the graphics, gameplay, story, characters, music, it was just unlike anything I had ever seen in a game before. The game has it's faults and isn't perfect but even now I still think that the Laguna storyline is one of the best ever in a FF game and he's probably my favourite character in the whole series.

It seems to be a real love/hate game among FF fans, but I'll always love FFVIII because those 3 or 4 weeks I spent finishing it in 1999 were one of my best videogame experiences ever. I was just completely absorbed and obsessed by the game, loved every minute of it and didn't want it to end.

My introduction to Final Fantasy was actually through Advent Children. I was at Video Hits Plus to rent a movie (rent one movie get two free Tuesdays FTW), and I saw Cloud on one of the TVs they had in there where they show a movie an employee has picked out and I was in love :wub: I rented it, watched it, and loved it. I wanted to play the game, but I didn't know where to get a copy. I called my brother, and he happened to have the original FFVII game and said he'd mail it to me. In the meantime, I bought Dirge of Cerberus and played it. Wow, did it make more sense when I played it again AFTER beating the original game.

Edit: I should add that this was also my introduction to gaming, for the most part.

Funny story how I got hooked on FF. My friend went out to buy FFVII but the store didn't have it and bought VIII instead. It was about 3 months before FFXII came out. At first, I thought the game was stupid cause the graphics were bad at the time so I didn't play more than 10 minutes the first time. I decided to give it a try and ended up loving it. So I beat VIII, went to the library and rented X for two weeks and beat it. 1 week later XII comes out and by then i was just hooked and got it.

I never even heard of final fantasy prior to my friends introduction.

I never played VII; though I hear it was the best.

----It was the best only to those who played it first and were new to Final Fantasy. Also, Nomura first designed for Square with FFVII.
