I really don't understand this one. I saw people calling the Pigtails girl "Nomchan" on Gamefaqs a few months ago and thought that it was a pretty stupid alias to give her. I went on there today for the first time since then and everyone's calling her that! It doesn't even make sense! What annoys me the most though is everyone says "Nomchan (Pigtails girl)" when referring to her, making the "Nomchan" part just useless!

I refuse to acknowledge such an awful community nickname and I'm glad no one here uses it. Can someone just tell me where the hell this came from and why it's her nickname on some sites? I assume Neogaf because that's where I heard it first.

I think you're right about it starting on NeoGAF, people have been calling her Nomchan on there for absolutely ages now. Used to always see people with 'Nomchan Defense Force' avatars.

I heard it originated from 2chan. I never go there, so i can't say for sure. But yeah, Nomchan is really lame. <_<

Well at least the nickname Pigtail girl has something in relation to her. Nomchan just kind of came out of nowhere. Literally. It kind of makes me wanna know where it came from too. This is why SE should just release names as soon as possible. It saves us from horrible alias'.
