The Beginning...

I finally have the PAL version of KH2 so I can actually complete it :D One problem is my American save doesnt work with the English version which was predictable...

Anyway getting back to the point I had to start again and I remember the first time i started it was slow but a second time its soo much worse. The whole 3 hour intro with Roxas with the Kingdom Hearts 2 title finally appearing almost killed me this time round as i knew how many days it was going to take till I got to Sora. The game gets MUCH better later on so I wonder why they made the begining soo boring. Anyone else think it was sorta boring?

I think it was more of an intro rather than supposed to be incredibly fun. I thought it was ok but the fact that you begin the game and might not even see the logo before you have to turn it off for the night was a little odd. But I think the point was supposed to give people a feel for him and give them background on him so that they would feel something for him in such a short time. The life of a Nobody sucks. And that's what your supposed to get from it. I think.

I suppose it does give alot of background on Roxas and theres no better way to experience it than playing as him. It was still pretty long though. Maybe they could have done a FFVIII style switching between Sora and Roxas throughout the game...though that would be quite a rip off :P

Seeing as Sora was in that chamber like thing sleeping and gaining his memories back and once you obtain Sora, Roxas is a part of him, that switching back and forth thing wouldn't work out so well.

And the first time I played through I found the intro kind of awesome, but now it's just boring. Well the opening FMV is pretty awesome though.

You can do it in one hour. (you have to take 850 munny in job or something to get ap+2) But boring. As you said it you "have" to know Roxas. But I keep wonder how he will be a part of KH3. Will he be like a spirit help to Sora?

Sora/Roxas might not even be in KH3, since its still a big possibility that the next game is going to be a prequal, but if its not i could see Roxas having some kind of role in KH3.

I wouldnt say that the the begining was boring, well sorta since all you do is minigames with a few fight here and there, but it told alot about Roxas and it let you fight with sombody other than Sora.

The whole beggining really did my head in, I just wanted to see Sora again and the fact that I was playing the beginning for ages with a broken thumb made the whole process even worse. Dont get me wrong, I mean I love the game but GOD WAS THAT INTRO LONG! haha.
