So I was just recently looking through all the official trailer and screenshots to all three FFXIIIs and noticed that we've yet to see a main antagonist at all! And I don't recall ever hearing anything said about an antagonist at all, the only bad things I believe we've seen are men (maybe women) in uniforms that look like they were from Attack of the Clones shooting guns at the main protagonists.
I'm glad we haven't had all that much information about the plot yet. To me, that helps retain the mystery thus making the game that much more interesting to play the first time around. Honestly, I hope they don't release too much information, 'cept I know that won't really happen - just keep us waiting longer!

In Agito, the antagonists are possibly other schools and the threat inside the protagonists' own school.
In Versus? I'd like to think that everyone's the enemy. O_O Dunno yet.
In FFXIII? Anyone but Lightning, I'll guess.
Yeah, no main baddies yet.

A little early to say... I hope that it's got a more vindictive villain than XII. Vayne was much more realistic than any other FF baddies, but we never saw him (which is, again, more realistic but not very involving).
I actually had one thought that it'd be something... environmental. It makes more sense in my head.

I have doubts they will go as realistic as any of the "villains" from Ivalice period. The indestructable church of tactics, polictical powerhouse family of XII, and the very charsimatic cast of Vagrant Story. I suspect a more straight evil route but with confusing/twisted goals ala Seymour, Kuja, Sephiroth.
They tout realism a lot with Versus but other than the store bought outfits and Bentley's I don't think we'll see it.

Well, I was reading something about Versus a couple months ago about the plot of the story, and I heard that the story will be hard to get through for some because it's very real to this world with similar conflicts.

Meh, they'll add some natural disasters and a few genocides and call it edgy. Maybe even have the prince kill a relative.
