I have no idea if it's real or not. I mean, it's pretty farfetched, but at the same time it wouldn't surprise me if it's true. But it is the internet and anybody can say what they like.

I've only read "Webmasters experience" and skimmed a few others, and it's pretty strange. If you can't be arsed to read any (it's quite long but it is... interesting) here's what basically happens. By the way, I'm going to leave out most of the sarcastic comments and OMG this person's so thick bits I really want to say. It just slows down the pace :aldo:.

Webmaster person (I think she's a girl, but I'm not sure if it actually says so anywhere) starts talking to nutty obssesive people online, gets convinced that she was Zack in a pastlife (:rolleyes:) and that the people she's talking to were Jenova and Hojo. She at some point visits them.

They're obviously not right in the head and actually have 'magic fights'. Some time later she moves in with them for whatever reason I can't remember right now. wierd stuff I can't remember happens and she eventually 'escapes'. Alot more happens if you can be bothered to read the full thing, it makes more sense (as much as it could) and way wierder.

Anyone else found freaky obsessed people? I find them amusing.:)

Wow, that made me laugh =], but seriously, some people believe they were famous people, thats one thing, but believing you were a video game character? woo, she must be pretty damn persuasive to get those other people believing it!

as for the bottom question, yeah i know of obsessed people, but this is a new level!

There's apparantly alternate dimensions where video games actually took place. To be fair, short of going through every single 'dimension' and not finding any, you can't disprove that. It's just a bit silly.

What I really don't get is how these people, never mind think they used to be video characters, but think that the characters would be re-encarnated as fat, greasy people with no lives or braincells.:rolleyes:

I've seen that Sephy-girl! She goes on a mini rant on how when fangirls say things like "OMG I luv Sephy" don't really love him, right? But she really does, and he loves her back.:wub:

I think I found one once where this girl thought she was Yuna or something, but pretty much it's all VII. Maybe they're right and we're the ones missing out. Oh, and she was fat and spotty.

That is so stupid i mean if someone locked me in a sound proof basement (or even tried to) i would cause them more pain then they have ever felt yes it would be physical pain not hitting or something stupid like that but i have my ways and if anyone dares to grab me by the arm well i can only say this i have studied torture through out history give me a pen and ten minutes alone with them hehe oh yes there will be blood no stabbing though ultimately i'd probably just kill them afterwards but i'd want them to know pain all in all i'd probably spend about an hour of slow painful torture to anyone that'd do those things what would really piss me off is if they were doing those things to someone else sighs stupid bitch.

Pretty much the exact same thing goes on in a section of that paramount of obsession, the anime fanbase. People believe that they were Kenshin or Naruto or the tree in the background of an Azumanga episode in another life and in another dimension. There was an entertaining back-and-forth between Anime News Network's Answerman and a few of these people last year in his column. I'll try an dig it up if anyone's interested.


Of course it happens with VII. The already vocal (read rabid) fanbase, combined with the leather and phallic imagery :cunning:...

Fun to laugh at though.

EDIT: Also, 50c bagel? It'd almost be worth the crazies in the neighbourhood to go to a place that sold bagels for 50c.

If you let someone put you in a bath of green ice you're as much to blame as them. She said she couldn't leave but (this could be due to the terrible grammar) I don't remember any reasons why she couldn't leave straight away. "Oooh, they'll send me mean emails." I'm sure that in that kind of situation that would be the least of your problems.

I am sympathetic to an extent, I would be scared if I were in her shoes - well, I wouldn't have gone in the first place - but you've gotta stand up for yourself. Plus, the victims must be really nice as well as stupid to put up with it all and give them stuff. I mean, a $40 paint set for someone you've never met? Bloody hell....

Yeah i know i said i wouldn't say anything else but what they did aside it was pretty funny i mean did you know everything purple is magic lol. Heartilly when some people are in an abusive situation they actually blame themselves and think that it is their fault (not me or you i am sure) i know it sounds a bit odd but alot of people will it's because they get brainwashed.
