[IGN Music]Tofu Records Announces U.S FFXII Soundtrack

On October 31st, venerable game maker Square Enix will release the latest epic installment of the wildly popular RPG series with Final Fantasy XII. That same day, Tofu Records will issue the official US soundtrack to the game featuring a choice selection of tracks from the game. The soundtrack is composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, and includes a theme track from also-legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu, sung by Angela Aki.

Over the course of the next twelve days, we'll be presenting "Twelve Days of Final Fantasy XII," showcasing new information on the game soundtrack each day. In addition to looks at the CD art, we'll be talking to the composers, Sakimoto and Uematsu, singer Angela Aki. In addition, we have a couple surprises in store for hardcore FF fan.

Where did you get that list from? becaus eit only contains a few of the full amount of tracks on there.
Theres four full disks worth all together.

Its not as good as many of the other FF soundtracks, but its still brilliant in its own right :)

That is the track list of the American soundtrack release. They already said it only contains 31 selected tracks. You can just import the japanese release with all 84(i believe) if you wish. I'll pick up the import just because i'm lame like that.

I didnt know America got a more condensed version of the sound track :S The cover looks pretty nice though. Alot of the other albums look pretty boring. I think the soundtrack is pretty good though so far. I dont want to listen to all of it yet because i wanna wait for the game but alot the ones in that list are quite good :)

If we're lucky the US soundtrack may have a trailer for FFXIII on it. Kind of like how the US spirits within sountrack had a trailer for FFX.

That's sweet Desi. The jap one is around 4 times more music. And looks like the US one lacks Ending Movie. (Unless its a different name) I don't know how it sounds like, but it's usually a beautiful one. (etc ending in KH1 and 2)

That's great and all but at the same time they aren't releasing the full soundtrack. It is pretty obvious they are doing all this for the North American release but at the same time they shouldn't be allowed to just half-arse it and give me only 1/3 of a soundtrack. That's why I would rather get the complete Japanese version over the one being released overseas. Releasing a full four disc soundtrack over here would be a start to being able to get game music in North America other then just ripping it from the game itself.
